I have a bunch of disapproval ratings because of unsporting (as someone else said, it's the go-to rating for "you're better than me so I think I'll give you a bad rating"), overly aggressive (which to me just means I played the darn game the way it was supposed to be played.. again one of those things where people don't like losing to you), and I think that's it. I don't think I've ever been reported for trash talking or anything but I wouldn't put it past people to rate me low for that even though I don't usually trash talk to anyone. I think if they're gonna have a 5 star rating system they first need to fix the whole approval/disapproval system because it's very easy for anyone to say anything negative about you even though you're just playing the game. I don't want to be reflected as a 2 star player just because a few people thought I was "overly aggressive" online. wwervin

There is an option to avoid the player because they were too skilled compared to everyone else, but no one ever seems to use that one because it's like admitting that you're a noob that gots his a** handed.

What I find crazy is that I have 30something percent avoid me because of trash talking, and here's the kicker I never plug my mic in unless I'm in a party with friends. It's a halfa**ed system. It just never got implemented correctly. It's a disconnect from Xbox Live with game developer that develop multiplayer games for Xbox. Matchmaking doesn't take into consideration what a persons rep is. They could try to fix it, but it just would be further abused. At the moment it just serves as a way for an angry person to try to get back at someone through giving negative feedback. Instead of sending them a swear filled message that could get you in trouble, just give them negative feedback.

Not gonna make money selling used 250gb and buying 4gb.

Tell your brother to get a job.

ZombieKiller7

Nowhere did I read that he was going to sell the hard drive and use the money to buy 4gb. To answer the question, yeah you can roll with a 16gb flash drive, but the money you get from selling a 250gb hard drive to downgrade to 16bg is not worth it. I'd suggest cutting corners elsewhere to get some spare cash because selling the hard drive is bordering on what a crack addict would do to get some cash for crack.

Sick and tired of threads like this about games that have not been released yet. I don't care if its an established franchise, I can think of plenty examples in the history of gaming of sequels or new installments in a franchise that have sucked or disappointed. Jurassic85

In their defense we're actually seeing the progress of these franchise games as they are being made. Before you got a clip here, and a clip there, but nothing that really told you what to expect from the game. Now though, we constantly get updates on the games development progress. I for one think we have enough info on some of the games that haven't released yet to be able to make an educated assumption of whether the game is going to be great, or not. Even with that said I still think it should be top 3 most anticipated games of 2011.

Mined are

Gears of War 3

Batman: AC

Assassin's Creed: Revelations

I would say if you can get Uncharted 2 used for 12-15 bucks go ahead and buy that because even though the GOTY is a great deal, like others have said it's all multiplayer content. I guess it depends on what you want Uncharted 2 for. If you want it for the campaign with a little multiplayer on the side the GOTY is not needed, but if you want to play the multiplayer from now till November then go for the GOTY.

Amazon is a great alternative to Gamestop because they also take in trade ins. Amazon's trade in values are usually better than Gamestop's unless you stack bonus % trade in values. When you buy used games from Gamestop your only browsing their inventory, where on Amazon you'll be browsing through multiple merchants. Amazon Warehouse is the seller you're looking for when buying used games because Amazon Warehouse belongs to Amazon, so free shipping on 25$+ orders.

All fanboy posts aside. It's worth it. I bought a PS3 in February after having an Xbox 360 for over 3 years and I can honestly say I love them both. I still prefer Xbox 360 over PS3, but I'm glad I own both. I think getting a PS3 for their single player exclusives is worth it alone. I think any true gamer would should explore more than just one console, and avoid becoming a fanboy.

I need a new Xbox. I forget how a brand new Xbox running for it's first time smells. The last new console smell I had was a PS3 in February, but the smell didn't last long. Within a few days it smelled like dust. I think it's telling me to clean it.

That sounds alarming because I'm on an almost 4 year old Xbox 360 and I've never had hot discs coming out when the game is installed to the hard drive. I think as long as the Xbox itself doesn't feel uncomfortably hot the Xbox should be fine. Maybe the fans are shooting out the hot air in the direction of the disc drive and that's why it comes out hot, or maybe the Xbox doesn't know the game is installed and it spins it anyways. I myself would go with the theory that the Xbox is spinning the disc even though it's installed.
