@Darkeus The purpose of this article is to farm preorders and first day buys. This is not journalism, it's a damn advertisement. That's how these hacks make their money.
Gaming journos (a very loose term these days) have completely discredited themselves by publishing this tripe. Show a game play video and leave it at that. Otherwise, I will assume that everything you write is just a big commercial for the publisher. You're a bunch of hacks, all of you.
So, according to this conference call between Suckerberg and OR folks, Facebook intends to make it's money back by forcing a Facebook VR-hub platform on the user. Basically, you put on the OR and you're taken to a Facebook controlled site with tons of advertisements. So, now they have control. That's the outcome of this buyout. This just turned into a closed platform.
@the_craig @limbo12 I can't say I'm shocked at your impressionism. Lots of people look to their immediate surroundings and deduce generalizations just like you've done. And then the shit hits the fan and you're the one running around like a headless chicken.
Your matter-of-fact logic is pretty stale. I think it's worrisome how you look at the surface of things and pass off these superficial musings as critical thought.
