[QUOTE="Raidea"]

Which type of games do you prefer?

Games based in on real life events or grounded in reality. Such as sports simulations, WWII games, tactical shooters and driving games. Things like GTA, GT, Call of Duty, Madden...

or

Fantasy games. RPGs, Sci-fi games, games with unique universes. Things like Mario, Halo, Warcraft, Balders Gate...

Javy03

A combination, but overall I prefer fantasy because there is just more creativity there.  Fantasy doesnt always mean sci fi though, because I consider GOW, DMC, NG and others fantasy as well.  Basically I want the characters to do things that I cant do myself.

Couldn't agree more, I'm stoked for Kingdom Under Fire: Circle Of Doom, The Witcher, Lost Odyssey, and Army Of Two8)

If game developers put effort in to the games the Wii appeal would most certainly  last until the next Nintendo counsel, but Nintendo would need to  force third party developers to be creative with the artstyle ex. Odin Sphere and create new IP's for the Wii built on the Wii  developers kit.

They definately need an RPG division of their own people, not a company that they bought.  They need to develop their own talent and let them show us what they can do.  If the company they bought made half-a$$ed games before, what makes you think Nintendo can make them make good games now.roboccs

I don't think Nintendo would buy a company that's not good at making games, that would be bad business on Nintendo's behalf.

I think so, Nintendo need teams that specifically does one genre and are extraordinary at the genre they specialize in. they can start by focusing on RPGs ( win Japan ) and FPSs ( win America ) and then on. I don't think they should  buy third party developers who do every genre ( jack of all trade but a king of none ), they should create or buy genre specific teams, so Nintendo wont have a lack in variety on their counsel and be able to capture every market. What are your thoughts

Take the case off and invest in a fan, stop being such darn Nancy boys and sit it facing your counsel of choice.

I don't see PS3 catching up to the Wii and Xbox360 until it has a $300 price drop, so the casual buyers to start buying it. I still don't think many casual buyers started buying counsels until the Wii was launch, when the Xbox360 was launch many casuals gamers were caught off guard by the $400 price tag on the 360. I think it was the hardcore gamers were buying it at launch and the ones who couldn't wait for Sony to launch their next gen-counsel, many PS3 owners also have Xbox360s, also people who were jumping ship from the game cube do to lack of third party support. That's why I think the Xbox360 did so well in its first year, and why it sult of decline in sales month before the other to launched. I think the reason the Wii did so well because it's priced with in the casual price area, this where I think casual consumers started buying a new counsel, which happens to be the Wii. I don't think any casual gamer is going to drop $600 on a video game system and plus $60 a pop on games, most tend to agree if you want to win the counsel war you need the casual gamer to buy your counsel and games on it. Ubisoft CEO is right, PS3 needs a price drop.
