@heshesh You pay once for the game AFAIK. However both XbOne and PS4 will require a subscription to play online. So yes and no I guess.

It's about $5 a month I believe and is required for all games with multiplayer.

My point is that it worked with Test drive because a racing game is a racing game. You race. This game have many nuances to it. It's not just one genre.

@TheSkyrimStatue Personally I think it's about time consoles got something a bit more interesting to play online than FPS and sports games.

I think that is why they call it MMO. We have no other name for it yet. But I do agree with you, MMO doesn't really fit these games. But I don't know what else they should be called either.
