Some pages on the web say you have to finish in a certain place in the Cups to unlock more cources.

Does that mean you can only unlock courses in Gran Prix mode?

I prefer playing in WFC1 as it's against real people but if I need to win GPs to get more courses, I guess I'll play that for a while.

I want to get my son who's turning 7 a pokemon game. I know there's some reading involved which is why I didn't get him one last year when I got him a DS. He's reading at least on a 2nd grade level now so should be able to handle a game with a bit of reading.

I have no idea the difference between Diamond orPearl and the new ones that just came out or the old ones. I don't know if you should start with earlier version or can jump in anywhere. I'm a Dad, not a gamer so forgive my ignorance.

Any recommendations?

Was looking at the PS3 games in the store the other day. Almost all are rated T or M. Even Sonic and Star Wars Lego are rated E 10+. The only thing I saw rated E were a few sports games-- football, golf, tennis.

I was thing about getting a PS3 as a blu-ray player with extra stuff to do. I would want some games my 6yo won't have to wait five years to be able to play.

I took a look at the games at the store, most are T or M. Even Sonic and Star Wars Lego are E10+. What the heck would my 6yo son play on the thing?

I was thinking of maybe getting one later in the year after the Xmas bills are paid just to get a blu-ray player with extra stuff. But only if there were a few games to play with my kid.
