@bickle2: Don't be absurd. 30fps is NOT a base standard, it only became a standard in the past console generation due to the crappy hardware being unable to hit 60fps.
Playing at 60fps is completely different to watching a video at 60fps. I agree video should be capped at 30, but gameplay should always be 60 when possible to avoid sluggishness and input lag.
@skeletor:You got that the wrong way around mate. Xbox for the very few exclusives it has, and PS4 for everything else.
I too have both consoles, and I dont understand how anyone could think the Xbox is the better of the two, it just isnt, and higher hardware specs wont change that.
I just played the updated version & its running at 60 fps, im SURE it was running at 30 fps before? If this is the case they have done some serious optimization as it still looks fantastic.
I love shooters but I just cant seem to get into this. I want to, but the gameplay doesn't work for me. I dont like the gunplay or how quick and easy it is to get kills, I dont like the map designs, but most of all I dont like how the Titans have been implemented. When you are in one it just feels like you are a bigger soldier with a bigger gun, it doesnt feel like im in an advanced war machine, I still have hands and a gun for goodness sake. When I think of a Titan I think of this:
@xspartanx3x: I own both consoles, got a PS4 on launch day and an Xbox One a year later. And because of this I can confidently say that the Xbox One is and will always be the inferior console. Almost every feature it has is done better on the PS4. Simply put:
*The user interface is horrid compared to the simple to use PS4 interface *Games almost always run at a lower resolution so look worse *Downloads take FOREVER, seriously its beyond a joke how stupidly slow it is *Almost every time I turn the damn thing on there is an update that doesnt seem to do anything. *The player base is much smaller so online games will die faster (eg Battlefield 4 atm has 14,266 on PS4 and only 5,386 on X1)
As for the games, the PS4 for me has better exclusives and a far better selection of 'smaller' games. You have Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Driveclub, Infamous, Resogun, The Last of Us, Bloodbourne, SOMA, Amnesia collection, Until Dawn, God of War, and im sure there are more ive forgotten. Ive never been a Halo and Gears fan, or Dead Rising for that matter. Forza is really good though (the only reason I own an X1 actually) and apart from few games like Ori and the Blind Forest there is nothing really that can compare to the PS4 selection.
I will say there are some things the Xbox does better though:
*Turning off the controller. On PS4 this is so needlessly complex *Plays 4K bluray's. I dont have a 4K TV so I dont care about this but I recognise its great for people that do
And can I just say the PS4 also has great game sharing features so im not sure why you put this as a pro point for the Xbox? The PS4 has a share button on the controller for goodness sake!
@Abdulrahman1981 Do what I did, get both :) I got a PS4 on launch day and Xbox One during Black Friday.
If you only get one console though i'd say get a PS4, Forza Horizon 2 is the only reason to buy an Xbox One at the moment IMO. PS4 has a better selection of games and they run at higher resolutions, not to mention the UI is cleaner and simpler to use.
