The Classic will be better for any NES, SNES, Genesis or TG16 games. I've found my GC wavebird to better for any N64 games. IMHO Sin and Punishment and Star Fox are unplayable on the Classic.
For a compatible GC controler IMO you just can't beat the Wavebird wireless. It may cost more than cheaper 3rd party controllers, but it's well worth the money. It also works perfectly with any Virtual Console N64 games.
Nintendo did increase the amount of Wii's shipping to the US in late summer from about 350/month to 500+/month. I'd expect that it might be easier to find 1 in January now that the Holiday rush is off. Personaly, I bought mine on launch day and I count my lucky stars that I managed to get 1 every time I play it.
No more Heroes will be releasing around the time of Brawl and it looks to be very good. Then there's: Dragon Quest Swords Disaster Day of Crysis (Nintendo purchased Developer from Namco, so now a 2nd party Nintendo game) Mario Kart
As others have said, the power indicator is orange because Wiiconnect24 is enabled. What others haven't said is that you should definitely disable it because there's been some reports of the Wii GPU failing because of the overheating. The only disadvantage of it not being enabled is that you can't use the News or Weather channel. However, it's very easy to temporarily enable it for their use and then disable it again.
