So much talk about political correctness is just white people whining that they can't be casually bigoted without being called out on it now that historically-oppressed minority groups are accruing a bit of political and cultural sway

I have no problem with anybody of color moving up the social rung. What I do have a problem is people moving up the social rung off the back of other people regardless of race. Unfortunately that is what so many "race" programs are designed to do. Blacks and Hispanics get into school easier then whites and asians , why? because "they want more color". Look at the Irish , italians and chinese that came here. They have all integrated into society well even tho they faced lots of discrimination.

How can a person show up with 2 dollars in their pocket from a warzone open a successful business while people who have been here much longer , just haven't fit it

I am surprised that such a great movie did not get a sequel. I really hope they come out with one. Dennis hopper can return as the villian as a cyborg alien

The soap just went right up my nose you guys.

I was in the shower and I have a soft soap dispenser. I'd just shaved and was rubbing the soft soap vigorously up & down on my face. Then I feel this intense burning in my nose. I'm not one to blow my nose without a Kleenex but I had to. I've never used cocaine but I felt like a guy in a movie who just did. You kinda think "how does soap get me clean? It seems so mild and harmless." No dude, go snort that shit then come talk to me. There's a reason why it gets you clean. Seriously.

Not be in their faces or anything. Not interfering with them. Not being "creepy" about it. But follow at a distance. Perhaps pretending to mind your own business. Just sort of always being there. Or is this illegal?

Asking for a friend btw

This Asian fusion like place near me, which isn't a restaurant with servers, but more like fast casual where someone runs food out to tables for those dinning in gave me poor service on my take out order today. I started going when they opened in my neighborhood last year. Back when the owner was the guy working the register and knew my name, etc...

Fast forward to now after the place has gotten great reviews and writeups in foodie magazines they are busy. I place my takeout order and tip the guy $1 on a $10 meal. So I'm sitting on their waiting bench and see the people that were in line in front of got their food. Then people after me start getting their food and by this time the people that were in front of me had finished eating. So I asked the guy "Hey where's my order, what is taking long?"

Turns out my order is just sitting at the front near the register. He's like "here it is". I say "I've been sitting over there waiting. Why didn't he walk it over or call my name? I even tipped the guy". He says "Oh looks like he put this down as a call in order. Sorry for that. I can get you a soda?"

Last time I ever tip on takeout. People in the service industry are so worthless

Raising the minimum wage to 15$/h by 2020 starting from the current 9$/h is nothing. By the time it goes into full effect, the dollar's depreciation will cancel it out.

Also:

"Ardon, who has worked for McDonald’s for 10 years, earns $9.05 an hour and relies on food stamps and Medi-Cal to make ends meet."

That is just serfdom; working for the same place for 10 years and still making minimum wage is brutal.

Then why doesn't Ardon learn to drive a truck? Take out a loan and become a truck driver and make 60 grand a year

I got the Firecracker Shrimp Bowtie, wife got Spaghetti and Meatballs and my 3 year old son got the Cheesy Bowtie Alfredo.

About half way through the meal, my son started talking with his hands. Sort of like pinching his fingers together and pointing them towards himself. He is still doing it today and asked to wear a gold chain to school. When I said NO he rubbed the back of his hand under his chin a few time then gave me the finger.

Will this wear off?
