Silent Hill 2 was fantastic. I'll never forget playing through it; it still scares me to this day.

Also, was anyone else expecting/wanting to see a bit more of Flemeth?

Regardless, I hope Bioware actually _does_ take note of player reviews and comments about this game. Also, the recyling of caves/caverns/dungeons just made me feel sad towards the end of the game. It didn't feel like an adventure, it just felt... lazy.

@frazzle00 I understand that, don't get me wrong. It's how the industry evolves. However, what you mention isn't exactly related to my point. Developers take risks, yes. DA2 was sanctioned as a game 'different' to Origins, fans were expecting that, I as one of them, I feel that most fans can take the changes they made with good grace. I loved the new combat system for example. Regardless, the fans, or even newcomers to this series see the main difference to Origins, in that DA2 seemed to lack the polish and depth of the first. I think that's were fans may feel let down, they expected another epic tale. But, unfortunately, DA2 seems to fall short of it's predecessor with a storyline that just doesn't suck you in as much.

Yes, people are going to complain. I don't think there's anything wrong in having expectations in the second game for this series. The first was simply brilliant, and its monumental sales proved that Bioware had made something big. I too was dissapointed in DA2. I don't hate it, but I certainly don't love it either. For DA:O fans, expectations ran high, and it seems they were unanswered. You only have to look at the mix of reviews - most it seems favouring the lower-end of the rating scale. If you are a gamer, and a developer releases a sequel to a game that ranked so highly, how can you not have expectations? DA2 has stirred many, many different opinions, but the main gripe seems to be the comparison to the first. I question, is that not the right of the fans? Is it not the right of gamers to expect more from something that they found so good in the past?
