434,632 Owners for doom already, no used sales and the game won't be pirated anytime soon. Once we see some sales I think doom lifetime sales will be quite impressive on PC. Remember, this is the number of actual owners and not a units shipped number.

@snk0610: huh? The PC version looks best and doesn't have to have dynamic resolution. The console versions also both have framerate drops.

I'm watching a compressed video on my phone and I can still see a difference, mind you all versions look better than what you see in this video.

I think we will see less and less of these types of games, smaller budget games that actually concentrate on being fun are dominating. Of course there are the exceptions like call of duty and grand theft auto, but for the most part there's a big shift.

I don't think of dark souls as hard core, it's more old school imo.

@ltjohnnyrico: the ps4 is much more successful than the 360, the 360 didn't even outsell the PS3.

The 360 sold less than the other two consoles, but at least it was a success.

They probably made more money thanks to Xbox live, but they spent a lot on rrod.
