@Duke_51 Well said, completely agree about these articles. Just wanted to tell you so at least one person doesn't spew fire at you through their keyboard since apparently no one likes to agree with someone... Anyway! About the pre-order thing i have to admit the author makes good points but I know I'm still probably gonna pre-order this AND Bioshock Infinite very soon. Why? Because pre-ordering has never failed me before. I only pre-order games I know i will get regardless of reviews unless it was a 1 out of 10 or something everywhere. I've pre-ordered every assassin's creed game since the second one because i know i will buy them. I enjoy continuing a series that's hooked me. I don't regret a single one of those purchases. Gaming is my main hobby and it's what i spend most of my extra money on. Why? Because it brings me joy. If that's not a good reason I don't know what is. In conclusion, the author raises good points but i respectfully disagree. When pre-ordering fails me and i end up with an awful game not nearly worth the money i paid for it, I'll be more careful about pre-orders. But since Ubisoft has yet to fail me in this series and this game looks even more promising than Assassin's Creed 2 based off the Gameinformer cover story, I will pre-order this game soon. Not for the steelbook, because I want this game.

The problem is video games are a cross between consumer product and art. There are no accepted "rules" in society about this. So in this case what are we to do? Honestly, its up to the developer, BioWare. But in my personal opinion, they shouldn't change it. Because of the internet, gamers are starting to get way too rude and greedy. It brings to mind Gamespot's article about gamer entitlement. It seems gamers feel entitled to everything under the sun about video games. Also, people don't seem to be acting very civil about this. Of course i don't mean ALL gamers are this way, I just used the term in a general sense. What I mean is that there is evidence of people, who are gamers, wanting things from developers they were never entitled to before. Also, I looked up a summary of ME3's ending (i only beat ME1) and i don't see the problem with it. It sounded amazing and i would have loved to be a part of it. That's just my opinion of course. To me this seems like if for instance the ending of a good book series disappointed readers so they demanded the author to rewrite the last book (the ending is almost pure story therefore more of the art side of gaming). Is that fair? no. Would a self-respecting author do it? No! So should BioWare change Mass Effect 3's ending? In short, no. In long, noooooooooooooooooo.

@20years Well the purpose was to make everything seem more real and make the characters seem more alive. Sex is a part of (most) people's lives and they wanted to reflect that. At least that's what they say... It could also just be a marketing device pointed at young pre-teens/teenagers who don't know how to clear their browsing history or don't own a computer... so yeah, believe what you want :p

I don't want to live on this planet anymore. The mere idea that actual true people would do this makes me lose faith in the human race just that much more. First of all what would be wrong with skipabble combat? You wanna do it then don't skip it. You don't then skip. Of course the game would have to be focused mainly on narative but im sure that it would if combat was skippable. The down side? Oh no, achievements/trophies might be easier to get?!? She must die! *sarcasm key* Seriously, gonna have a fit over a couple of meaningless little digital awards? Secondly, even if you don't like skippable combat ok! Im not gonna try and insult you until you kill yourself over it. What is wrong with the world? Or is it just America? Because I am American but seriously after hearing a so-called rumor so many times you start to believe it. I love my country and DON'T want people like this living in it. BioWare should refuse service to the largest offenders or something... Sorry for any spelling mistakes, im getting tunnel vision from rage... Edit: Also this makes ALL gamers look bad meanwhile a lot of us are civilized people...

@unwell-7 Although I share your enthusiasm about Bioshock Infinite, I find it a little disappointing that you didn't like the ending of Bioshock. What was wrong with it???
