@moviequest14 Kinect is far superior and more fun than PS Move. Its a technological innovation. As far as online, Sony's service is shotty at best and extremely insecure. Remember all the hacking and credit card access? Yeah, i'm not gonna trust them with my personal information.
I have played both 360 and PS3 online and Xbox live is definitely more stable in my experiences.
wow... awesome interview with the video links and everything... I'm impressed Gamespot. Also maybe i won't skim over this COD game like i planned to... these guys are great at marketing. They get me every year...
The protagonist should depend on the game really. Skyrim, you're special but not all powerful but it makes sense because that's how tales of fantasy (elves, magic etc) work. You are always the chosen one otherwise why is it you who's saving the world? As for Prototype the entire point of the game is to feel incredibly powerful. Thing is when Prototype 1 came out it was the first "super powered free roam destroy everything" game for xbox systems since Hulk Ultimate Destruction. But certain games could definitely benefit from the everyman. One thing that does bug me is when people complain about realism. COD not realistic enough? Play Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and see how it feels to play a realistic shooter. Or take my word for it, it sucks. IMO
@JustPlainLucas Exactly. They don't know how badly this will really affect them. Especially since gaming has become much more casual now and eliminating used gaming will alienate all the new customers.
@thereal-15-cent Its a gaming NEWS site. Games, like everything, interact with politics at time. Its not like they are wasting their resources. What else are they gonna write about? No big name games have come out recently really. IMO this articles invoke critical and deep thought and I have enjoyed them. As far as the article goes Im a bit iffy. The way I see it, its kinda like when a comedy show makes a joke directly targeting a group of people. You don't take it seriously, just laugh and go along with it. On the other hand this isn't a comedy show. Obviously the game is trying to be funny but when comedy isnt their main goal it can negatively impact people which should be avoided at all costs. And yes, the USA has problems in society, but we are working on them. We are still better (rights and society speaking) than other places. I mean, I'll be honest, the idea of a transgender person does make me uneasy and thats because I cant understand it. Its a mystery to me and always will be and its natural to fear the unknown. But im not about to mock transgender people. I'll treat them like anyone else, with respect. So developers need to avoid this (I mean they were kinda asking for it with this) but you also have to remember that sometimes it's just a poor decision. The developers need to tone it back and people need to just try and see it for what it is, humor. In this case though it seems to be more the developers fault..
