I remain hopeful, but have doubts.... I'll wait til E3 to make my final judgement. I want to see some core games using this tech in unison with the regular controller.

I'm very hopeful, but i am tired of that ricochet game that keeping showing, i guess we have to wait 4 E3.

Spain Confirms That Project Natal Delivers

We've all seen old Project Natal videos showing the primitive E3 09 build of Ricochet that Microsoft keeps showing everywhere until now. Spain got the first look at a newer and improved build of Natal that even though being far from the final version it showed enough improvement to impress the media. Here we gather all the impressions from the Spain media and what they had to say after playing Project Natalhttp://www.gamesthirst.com/2010/04/11/spain-confirms-that-project-natal-delivers/Also520°

Project Natal still has a multi-processor

As you know the Natal Project is the first worldwide sensor that uses a 3D video camera, a depth sensor, a microphone and a multi-processor that runs the software, all from the same apparatus. Unlike the 2-dimensional cameras, "Project Natal" 3D analysis of whole-body movements while introducing the commands, the direction of movement or even the tone of voice. It was funny to tell us that the image we've all seen the sensor will not be the final aspect of marketing , which now are still working on it, and that between now and Christmas many things can change.http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&tl=en&u=http://beegamer.es/2010/04/asistimos-a-la-demostracion-de-project-natal-en-madrid.html

Its funny how everybody talks about lag when natal is brought up. Microsoft has always said the demos that thayhave been showing is from E3 last year is a an old build. We still got 7 months for them to improve in the software. I still think there going to be alitte lag, but not as bad what people on this site (Cows) keep saying.

BULLETSTORM reveal in Game Informer.

I wonder if this is going to be a Xbox exclusive or multiplat. The pics looks nice, can't wait to see a trailer.

yeh sony used footage from actual games, the natal video is definitely better for getting people hyped.G-O-M-J

agree

They even put, in the beginning of Natal trailer, a careful message at the bottom stating that it was a project vision and actual results may vary :P I call BS on that, did anyone notice how the kid had his fingers on the logo of his stateboard, but when he went into the image selection gallery the logo was intact? Anyway, MS's marketing machine is definitely impressive.

Why are you calling that natal trailer the launch trailer? Thats its announcement trailer from last E3...Cant we wait for a proper one that actually shows off tangible software?!wolverine4262

I called it a launch trailer because they where introduce a new product.

i definitely think the natal trailer looked better. However, i've never seen any of the stuff in the natal trailer actually being shown vs the playstation move at GDC.

Did anybody notice how similar these trailers are. Not it terms of games but the production of the trailers. It seems to me that Sony copy Microsft on their trailer or used the same company to develop them.

And this thread has been officially hijacked :P After reading that I had to scroll up to see what was the topic again. MS always had a remarkable marketing team, and is very succesfull at drawing people in. This is no surprise.RavenLoud
lol my bad about the hi-jacking. Back on topic. You are right about MS's marketing team. They really know how to grab customers. Sony could learn a thing or 2 from them. Sony has improved with the quality of their commercials, but now they need to know where and when to place them. For instance, Super Bowl would have been a great time for a GoW3 trailer. They could really learn a thing or 2 about marketing from MS. MS knows you need to spend money to make money, and you can tell by the way they advertise. Props to MS for this :D

Actually Sony comes out better in the long run by not advertising as much as MS. Sony's exclusives have been known to sell millions over a period of time despite little to no advertising and as a result able to generate more profit.. I dont get why people on here say "OMG Sony and MS need to advertise this or that game on the super bowl" are you joking? It cost 3 million dollars a 30 second super bowl ad. No game company should pay so much money for just a 30 second super bowl ad. Im willing to bet anything that if you where to compare PS3 and 360 exclusive sales, i bet anything while MS might have more gross revenue Sony generates more net profit due to a lot less advertising costs than MS which is smarter.. Net Profit>>>> gross revenue

Are you serious. This is gotta be a joke.

This is why I think Natal will be sucessfull, Microsoft knows how to advertise. Natal will not be out until the end of the year and we are already starting to see it on Tv. Imagine when we get closer to launch time.
