@DeviantCode: Sounds more like you're unable to accept any negative aspects of a game just because you like it. It is okay to enjoy a game and accept that It's not perfect. Or admit that the game would be objectively better without said microtransactions.

@TheZeroPercent: I haven't played it and don't own it, so take this with a grain of salt. I believe their are 18 playable characters in the base game. The free story mode update just go released, so there's that too.

There are however 6 characters locked behind the season pass which is $30 USD. Right now only 2 of those characters have been released as far as I can tell.

So It's kind of a judgement call, 18 characters isn't bad by any means. With an actual single player story mode in the game now it could be justified if you're a huge fighting game or Street Fighter fan. I'm still going to wait till all the DLC is released and the assured Ultra Street Fighter V edition comes out.

The fact that they are trying to sell Evolve for any amount of money (it just went free to play on PC) seems unethical at best. Considering they said it will eventually go the same route on consoles....

Moot point, full priced games shouldn't have micro-transactions in them, period.

@edhc44: Most of the reviews I've read/watched have been middling at best. Basically saying "It's not the train wreck everyone thought it was going to be", that's not a good selling point IMO. The biggest nail in the coffin is that almost all of them said if it wasn't tied down to the Ghostbusters license, it would have been much MUCH better.

@runstalker: Fair point, but I was more pointing out the lack luster value proposition Nintendo is offering. $70 (if you want another controller) for 30 games with seemingly no ability to expands the library? That's no small amount of money for something anyone reading this can likely get for free (legal or not).

@Rooten: I agree, everyone SHOULD be able to play at least one hero of each type. But fact is that doesn't happen, you WILL get people who freak out when they can't play "their" character, and like it or not that means the rest of the team has to deal with them. Do you really think someone that immature won't throw a match out of pure spite?

I have plenty of RL friends who play, at least half my games have been with partial to full pre made teams. I'm not talking about me or my experiences, I'm looking at the bigger picture.

@mcnerdles: Because any time the topic came up on Blizzards Overwatch forums, the thread would get bombarded with people against the idea. Typically only the most adamant of competitive players in favor of it, It's also no secret that the e-sports scene has been against the idea of hero stacking since beta.

@UpInFlames: I agree, but guess what? People raging because they can't pick the character they want is still gonna happen, and the rest of the team is gonna be forced to deal with it.

@cantor2537: Or you can take 20 minutes to download an emulator and literally every game ever released on the NES for free....
