No where did she properly justify her score. She says it wasnt innovative and new but does that really warrant a removal of 40% of the score along with the multiplayer? I have no problem with a lower than expected score as long as its properly justified and I feel this wasn't done.
While I dont think it looks as good and progresses as good as Arkham City, its still a great game. I see it more of a sideline game for Rocksteady to work on the next one and taking that into account, they've done a damn good job where other companies would push out a poor product.
Except the research part (simply haven't got the time to go through all that but kudos to Johnny for not just listing films and games!), I recommend everything mentioned. All those films are great and its about time we had an up to date action adventure pirate game. Just wish it was seperate from the Assassins Creed universe.
@frylock1987 I wasn't before but for some reason, I really want to play it now. I'm a huge fan of pirates and its finally time someone made a fully fledged pirate action adventure game today. Shame its Assassins Creed though. I loved the first 2 games but it lost its way a bit after that. 3 was pretty forgettable but I hope this one is more open to exploration. Didn't feel it much in the others.

@gunsofdeschain I haven't played the game but play guitar and from what I've seen with the way you can change speeds and practice certain bits, I would say its a good fun way to try learning. I would still practice outside the game by looking up some simple things on YouTube or something but its far better than Guitar Hero ;)
I didn't notice this review until now. I think the homepage still needs a bit of work. Its nice to see someone review this game well as well as someone who actually knows a lot about guitar and can play it very well :) Would love to jam someday \m/
One thing I would like to know about though is the guitar tone variety. I'm pretty picky about my tone so I was wondering what its like.
Does anyone else get really choppy playback on the new video player? :/ It's really starting to do my head in and I can't figure out why :( Annoying to have to go to YouTube each time I wanna see the video properly.
@intrepidpooch He is comparing it to games today whereas back then, it was being compared to games of its day.
Back when I first played it, I would probably give the original Driver a 9/10 but if it just had an HD remake, I garuntee it would get no more than a 7/8 due to its gameplay limitations in comparison to todays standard of open world.
FYI, 8 is a damn good score still for only an HD remake.
