heh - http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/62965

He definately isnt going to mclaren - remember dennis said 50% (was it 50? well a certain percentage) of today's f1 drivers are "useless". Im sure dennis would consider button to be in that percentage, or he would of made a bid for button earlier (instead of jpm, or dumped dc earlier)

"If you hire a world champion, then you must give him the number one status."

so basically, flavio is saying "hey fernando, u want no1 status, come back and u'll get it" more evidence alonso is goin back to reno (or they are in talks at least)

Oooh... Hammie won. What I don't get is that the guys on SPEED were saying how totally great Hammy's drive was when he was out front all day. He rarely had to drive through the water trails. Yes, it does take skill to drive in the wet, but he had it easiest. And Hammo's basically wrapped up the WDC.

XSamFisherX

well put

it was good, but not amazing....there were more gutsy drives lower down the pack, ie; KIMI and kovi...not very often we get to see some1 go flat out around the outside of a redbull in the wet and make it stick!

Massa is nothing special. He only wins from pole, and it just doesnt impress as much as kimi and alonso. There are better, younger drivers such as kovy/heikki/rosberg/sutil that should get a chance in a Ferrari or Mclaren

Alonso isnt going to Ferrari, he couldnt handle the pressure from Kimi

I think Ferrari is better at letting their drivers raceXSamFisherX

Alonso and Kimi wouldn't make out together I guess

Well... Its more as if... Schumi was the cheat... And, like redders said it, ferrari arent cheats, but they have an advantage with the FIA!

The_Gabmaster

lol "advantage of the FIA" I like how you defend Mclaren by repeatedly slating MS and Ferrari....

Mclaren got off lightly. They should have been completely excluded and given a bigger fine. 100 mil is a joke considering the damage and controversy they caused this year....

I really hope kimi wins the WDC! how embarrasing would it be for Mclaren to cheat and still win NOTHING!

As for the "50%of the fia are ferrari employess.." well any1 can pull numbers outta their @ss, until I see a link with proof of that then it is considered BS

Dude..... I can understand what you mean..... But let me recall some well know facts:

1. 1994: Schumi takes out Hill. Wins the WDC. Hill, being a good sport, doesnt call an appeal.

1995: Benetton's car was largely considered illegal by many. But to this day, no examitions of the car were ever made!

1997: Schumi takes out Villeneuve. Loses all his point, but doesnt get any cash penalty.

1998: This is an incident that didnt get much coverage but still, it's cheating. Schumi gets a penalty, and comes in at the very last lap, crossing thw finish line without completing the penalty. Thus, he should have been disqualified. But, no, he's not! He wins de race! Hakkinen had his hand in the air, thinking he had won that time.....

2000 to 2005: Uhm.... To many times to count... In all that story... Poor Barichello.... Poor SPORT IMAGE....

And finally, in 2006, he deliberately stalled his car so that lonso wouldnt get the pole...... Isnt that enough for you???

2. He didnt pay 100 million dollars for what he did! Look, if you tell me, what event totally made F1 a bummer for you, I would tell you: Xchumi cheating throughout his career! He was a great man... A great driver.... But, I will never remember him for that! If he would BE JUDGED THE SAME WAY MCLAREN WERE, he would owe 10000000 million to F1.... Were I live, everybody tells me that: Schumi's a cheat! He destroyed the sport's image... And still, he aint getting any penalty for it.....

3. It's not even worth talking about anymore...... Why does ferrari always get the advantage?? Why didnt they get there asses kicked more than they did???

And if you tell me: No, mclaren destroyed the sport's image, well, think what you want. But the fact still remains.... Mclaren cheated once.... 100 million! What about Ferarri and Schumi? I dont have enough fingers to count it... And still, to this day, Mclarenis considered a cheating team......:S:S:S:S:S

The_Gabmaster

wow um...where should i start with that....

1. 1994: Schumi takes out Hill - ok you can have that one, seeing as its 13 years and your still going on about it

1995 illegal benneton? - the IRONY in that comment....should mclaren win the wdc this year, it will be considered to have done so in an illegal car....'by many'

1997 Villinueve thing: big deal - schumi lost his points, again ironic how many people go on about how villinueve is an undeserving champion, but still insist on throwing this out EVERY time they have a go at schumi (no cash penalty ...so?)

1998 - BEST WDC battle ive ever experienced - Mika won anyway but FYI.....rules stated a penalty must be served within 3 laps, he came in on the 3rd (and final lap) FIA's fault for leaving that loophole... again, your just looking at anything to use against him

2000-2005 "to many to count"....i counted: austria 2002...leaving us a grand total of: 1

2006: alonso, hungary - deliberately slowed, causing schumacher to pass under reds...AND chopped across doornbos in previous practice....not to mention publicly insulting his team after china that year....

2. WHY are you so obsessed with 100 million?!?!? HE got PENALTIES for his actions... sooo every1 you know thinks he is a cheat? well if you went out in the street in any other country, asked a random person who michael schumacher was, odds are they would know, BECAUSE of the major success and IMPACT he has had in the sport.

3. Mclaren cheated once?...their chief designer, CEO, other aero staff AND the drivers, all KNEW and had access to 780 pages of ferrari documents....if their chief designer had them in his HOME, then of course they were used...we just cant prove it

This year has been ruined by spygate thanks to mclaren. The title WILL be tainted whether you like it or not....

One last thing on your comment: "Schumi destroyed the sports image" how about this....

ALONSO has been whining about every1 being against him at mclaren since hamilton beat his rageddy @ss in a fair fight....THEN he supposedly blackmails his boss into giving him no.1 status, or he goes to the fia with new info....mclaren nearly got kicked out of f1 for 2 years (until 09) for alonso's stupid actions....

Sounds pretty damaging to me...

But really, this whole case needs to be looked at in context. Things like this:

[quote="autosport"]

Former Ferrari driver Mika Salo said the scandal was nothing new.

"When I was driving for Ferrari we always spied on McLaren, listening their radio traffic. After every practice session I had in front of me, on paper, all the discussions Mika Hakkinen had had with his engineer,"

cjek

.. just make it seem like these kind of tactics have been used for a long time in this sport.

yeh because that is the exact same as having 780 pages of car designs, telementary, tyre/fuel info and other intellectual property isnt it?

I remember the extreme hate for ferrari that used to be on this forum...schumi and ferrari were considered "cheats" by everyone basically, so what have you guys got to say now after this verdict? also what will your response be when Mclaren win the WDC? will it be fair?
