Nothing's good enough for Gamespot to give it a 10. They make an Assassin's Creed game in one year, they get an 8. Somehow Rockstar makes a game in 8 years and they're only 1 point higher.
Gamepot gave Alien: Isolation a 6 and every year they publish an article about how good this game is. At least be consistent among yourself. The most important element of a reviewer website is consistency.
I'm glad for this score, shows the courage of the reviewer. I won't play this game or FarCry 5 for free. I hate unimaginative open-world games with lots of busywork and worthless collectibles. I'd rather play The Witcher 3 or Skyrim or pre-order RDR 2.
The transition from linear to open-world starts with making big hub areas, which this game has couple of them. I'm also worried about what Sony's been doing lately. Both Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy had hubs in them. Even God of War has a huge hub. Bad open-world games are worse than micro-transactions.
