Ok so I suck at Lightning Returns I need to get used to the combat and I also need to get used to using my time wisely so my question is this.

I've started the game on normal died a few times and literally just wasted time trying to get used to everything I have kind of given up on this playthrough but as theres a new game + I thought what the hell why not make my next playthrough easier and just get stuff ready. So while waiting for the time of the world to expire what items and stuff should I focus on getting? Like killing specific enemies for them that kind of thing?

The only game I ever played of Dragonball Z and I absolutely loved it, spent so much time on there but in a collection why has it been left out? o.O

Now for the changes. What exactly has changed in both games for this? Apart from grahpics and sound. Tempted to go pick this up just wondered if it was worse or better than the PS2 version

Mostly for coursework and research but maybe for some gaming like minecraft and sims (obviously sims isn't hard to run on most laptops)

£300 maximum

Does anyone know what would be best?

Can provide any other information just not sure what information to give :P

I loved the driving in saints row 2 and 3
didn't like it in GTA4
so far not enjoying it in this apart from in chases where you bash pursuing cars, thats fun, but people have said it can take a while to start enjoying this driving properly so shall see how it goes

[QUOTE="jubeio"][QUOTE="Texas2089"]It all sounds good, but in practice I'm not too sure how well it would work. To be honest I think the story would just be so jumbled with trying to include and tell the story of so many different characters that the whole thing would just turn into a disaster. A fighting game like Dissidia can have small, self-contained stories with a bit of crossover to pull it all together into one overarching plot, but that kind of system wouldn't really work all that well a full fledged RPG in my opinion.Texas2089

it probably would work with the amount of characters there are but then i guess you would also have the whole thing of what part of the story of each game do you use, can't have the hero cloud from after stopping meteor and then have aerith there, stuff like that would also then need to be brought into it, it would all go crazy, but would still love to see it xD

That's exactly why it WOULDN'T work. There are entirely too many characters in the series to be able to make a cohesive story including even the main character of each main game, let alone secondary characters added in to give the main characters depth. Then there's the issue of who would truly be the 'main' character of this game. If they took the approach to have no specific main character and decide to try and keep everyone level and give each character their own spotlight, then everything would be stretched so far wide it would take forever to even make a small amount of progress. Or if they go the route of choosing one character to be the main focus, who would they choose? Cloud? Tidus? Terra? Cecil? Lightning? The list goes on.

This sort of idea may have worked if there were only a few games, but with 13 main installments the series is just far too large to incorporate everything and make one true "Final" Fantasy.

oops that was supposed to say wouldnt xD and you would need a true main character and i guess it would depend on the story and looking at the characters which did best as a leader

[QUOTE="GAME-QUEST-EX"] summons would be a cool one to have, surprised they havent done that actually seem as though theyve even had chocobo games and stuff xD

I'd just like to see them move away from the whole After School Special level of character interactions and introduce some actual depth and maturity to the franchise. I heard that XIV A Realm Reborn is written by the same woman who did XII, and I loved the dialogue in that one, so maybe there's something to be hopeful about.

12 was alright but was lacking story later in the game

There might have been a time where I would have thought an FF game with all of the series' main characters would have been a good idea, but I think after seeing what they had to offer with Dissidia I'm turned off to the idea.

When you talk about the main characters alone, and none of the supporting party members from those games, it doesn't make for much variety. Most of FF's protagonists are young swordsmen. In any RPG, the different characters need to cover different roles in battle, or perform different roles. And while I'd prefer to see all of those game worlds clashed together into one big game - supporting characters and all - I think that would be way too many characters to play as and there might even need to be an original character or group of characters for the player to play as.

I think Kingdom Hearts did okay with merging FF characters into one world, but I don't think we'll ever see anything beyond that in scope.

Ovirew
have all the characters in there but not all as playable ones although that woul;d make things even harder to decide who is unplayable xD kingdom hearts did well but i feel there isnt enough final fantasy characters compared to the number of disney characters, plus should be able to fight side by side with some of the final fantasy players more, but overall have loved every kingdom hearts game apart from the first ds one

So I know I have another thread nearby, but rather than go and post this in the Xbox section, I figured I would keep it here. The problem is, there is very little in the way of ****ing explanation and player direction. I feel really lost. I want to like this game, and I do like it alot, but I need some advice:

The problem is kind of twofold. One: I don't know if I am getting my ass kicked because of mob level or game difficulty. For instance, I'm around level 4, and I just took on the quest to go into the Well in my hometown. I defeated some rats with relative ease, and then I encountered some sort of water creature, and it ****ed me up. My blows didn't do much damage, and I took a CRAP ton from their attacks.

However, in my demo battle with the Gryphon, the fight was pretty challenging. And this is where I am getting lost. Did I get my face rearranged because of the difficulty that I should just naturally overcome, or do I need to go get better gear and more levels, and then come back? Is there any hint to a quest's level, or a foe's power before I just get myself destroyed? I don't mind getting killed... I guess. I don't love that the death system is so penalizing in a game that seems so difficult. In Dark Souls at least dying had a specific purpose...

Essian
the water creatures you're talking about if theyre the ones with the tails make sure you attack the tail first it helps. and I always have 3 pawns with me i had a few friends who also got the game day one so i used their pawns so if you find you're really struggling and can't afford decent pawns, try seeing if anyone on here has a pawn the level you would like them and see if you can add them for a free pawn :)

Ok so the idea for Dissidia I really liked having loads of the people from previous games against the enemies from them, I loved the game but what I would like to see is a Final Fantasy RPG with up to date graphics but gameplay style of the games from 10 and before. It would be a game where you play as some of the different characters from previous games, wherre you woulkd be against enemies from previous games. The story would be indepth unlike dissidia which was ok but was lacking a bit. I have all these ideas in my head and can;t figure out how to actually type them out. Too bad I don't know how to make a game or should i say what programme to use to make a game with graphics and length of FF 7 - 9. But I think there could be an idea there somewhere that could work for quite a good game, would just be nice to play as characters from throughout the series.

Yeah, like you said, zombies are not know for the strong story...

and i updated the game before i played so maybe i didnt feel any problem while playing it.

gameplay stands up for weak story and characters (specially the ones you can choose)

for example you can choose 4, when i just put the game i was expecting for the worst when one of the characters said "yeah, im cool, im a retired quaterback and voted the sexiest player on the league.... " i mean... thats just poor.. i would like to think the character selection was aiming for teenagers that like to pick a stereotyped rapper called Sam B! or a ex quarterback that speaks like a retard but again the game is rated +18... so... i guess it should be more serious... but besides that, the gameplay its amazing and makes you forget all the poor characters...

i think the gane will gain if they have "normal" people as characters to select... that will be an improvement

cant wait for dead island 2.. if they make it :D

the weapons breaking down i think its great, i think maybe it will be more boring if they dont cause sometimes it gives you the idea of urgency when your weapon is breaking down...

ra84ma
I don't think whoever mentioned weapons breaking down meant that its a bad idea its more the fact that sometimes they do seem to break too quickly and when you've just spent all your money just to maximise the weapon you feel irritated at the rate it can break
