@Gamer_4_Fun I don't think all, but certainly more than just the ones listed for linux do. I would be interested to hear what games don't work.

@nathanmaxtro Linux doesn't need special version either. Many of the games run fine (via wine).

Noticed my steam library was there after installing the steam beta, so this morning had it download Company of heroes and didn't have a chance to try it until now. Works great under Linux! Even though there are only about 40 native Linux games, many of the Windows games works just fine automatically with steam and no linux port! Looks like steam uses wine for windows games, so you can probably get a rough idea if your favourite games can work from http://appdb.winehq.org/ )

@nisgos You can not go to a mac unless you get new hardware, so Linux is more likely. That said, new hardware a couple of weeks ago and went from Windows to Linux, so you are mistaken about people going to mac.

The only thing holding me back is currently I have fedora on my and not looking to change. Can get most of the games without steam for other platforms, but steam does have good sales sometimes and makes things easier...

As to the comments claiming market share for linux is too small... at least it is still bigger than Windows 8, but to be fair Windows 8 will probably catch up in a month or 2.
