@wis3boi It wouldn't be that big of a problem if so many people didn't buy the games every time/year. Like what people asked about Madden and other games released every year: What's the point in paying $60 every year for the same game, with only slight additions? The CoD games are about as big of a rip off as their map packs. What was it, about $15 or so for a couple of maps, just to be able to run around in them and what not, and nothing else? At least with the Halo map packs you can modify your own stuff into them and make your own kinds of maps out of them, and I think they were cheaper as well. All and all, if you want to keep wasting your money on the games every time, then that's your decision (unless it's your parents money). Just makes more sense to me to buy more reasonable things, like, idk, food/water?
Reading about the mods made me wonder, why don't I just get Skyrim for my Laptop? Ya the graphics won't be amazing because my laptop didn't cost $1500+, but at least I'll be able to play it at school, etc. Not to mention, THE MODS!! lol
@SnuffDaddyNZ If you already didn't know: Illegal downloading (music for instance) is practically the same thing as borrowing a friend's CD and copying the music, it's just on a MUCH higher scale. In a way it's not illegal, but like you said, the producer makes no money. But it's not like they're loosing money? And in truth, wouldn't an artist get the most support/money through concerts? lol
Hmmm. Might actually consider getting games like Skyrim (that have big support for modding) for my laptop. Though I won't get the chance to experience it in beautiful graphics (unless I'm standing still), at least it will be fun (which is the point of games) with all the add-ons and what not. Not to mention I could play it at school lol. Really this is the main reason why there's no point in getting Minecraft for the 360, unless u only have a Netbook, or any other computer with the same relative power as a one.
