They will always be able to shovel out mainstream crap... and if they saturate the market they just buy a smaller more creative team and mainstream their product... They live on but kill the industry bit by bit...

Reviews based around opinions and not facts false advertisements etc... You're blaming the consumer without making the developers own up to their vices... Everyone does and that will not stop pirating... If my point doesn't hold up than reality doesn't hold up... You think if this were food or water people wouldn't resort to theft? The fact that its games doesn't change things...

These games sell and developers looking to make a quick buck makes more of them... Then those idiots after being burned burned start pirating... Say what you will about them or what they do but the real issue is addressing why people pirate... Fix the industry first then deal with pirates...
@JamDev @jeremiah06 You are right... but don't downplay my point... The shady business practices are indeed to blame for the thefts... No one does anything about it because "hurr durr it just games" I don't play pc games so I'm not a pirate...
@SkamArtist @jeremiah06 Why not? Why should people pay full price for a broken game that barely works? You really think the developers don't know that their games suck? That they don't work? What other industry gets away with blatant false advertising and selling broken products? People are willing to pay for games... but on a budget of only a few games a year being burned 2-3 leads to pirating...
