Brilliant! This is exactly what I hoped for! One more thing, the gameplay- that's really my only concern- is it really slow after all?

The story. Is it as good as it looked in the trailers?

This game never looked bad. The rabid fanboys just made it seem like it did.

Devil May Cry was dead. Not because the last one sucked, but because only 2 of the 4 games released were even half decent. Sure, Dante was a cool character, but they failed repeatedly, time and time again, to go anywhere with the story. IF anything NEEDED a reboot, it's Devil May Cry, because the premise is great. They just got lost. Hopefully they'll find a path now. Judging on what I've seen of the game so far, I'm endlessly impressed.

I find this kind of lamentation really annoying. You're actively asking the medium to remain dumbed down. I can't understand why a guy who's been through college wants a return to the Devil May Crys of yesterday, with the paper thin script and mindless hack and slashing. No, I'm quite happy video games have decided to attempt a cultural equivalence with books and films, and that developers actually have something to say. I'm an adult, I have an interest in society, and I like satire - and it just so happens that video games have proven to be extremely proficient in this field.

Of course like any creative work with a message, those who disagree with that message are going to feel alienated, and maybe you're just a harassed right winger. If so, that's fine. but you don't like the game because you disagree with it, not because it has substance.

And by the way, for any staff that may glance this who are disheartened by the original poster's decision not to buy becathey you've injected some relevance into the game, please don't be. It's because of this that I already have the game on preorder.

Game hasn't grabbed my interest pesonally, but I'll play the demo.

Though the last time I played a demo, it was for the new DMC and I played that for maybe two minutes before stopping and deleting it from my hard drive.

DarkLink77

Me too. Played it for like a minute 52 seconds, and was certain I was going to buy it, so just stopped and deleted it.

By the way, is the Ni No Kuni demo spoilerific, or can I feel free to download it? Because I'm definitely getting it, I just would really like to play the demo.
