There's a program I have used successfully with PC HD's called PhotoRec. (Just do a search on Google) It's a free program. I just had a guy who decided to blow away a partition on his second HD, and I was able to get all his files off the HD. It took about an hour for a 120GB HD. Don't know if it will work with a PS3. Not sure of its file system. But it might be worth a shot, if you can get the HD out and put into a PC.

First off, ANY wireless control will be less reliable than a wired connection. But we accept that because of the overall benefits wireless gives us. Also, there's the programming issue. No matter how perfect the hardware is, it depends on the code to make it work properly. Read the reviews here on Force Unleashed. It seems all three platforms have control issues. And finally, of course, the number one issue with control is the user. A perfectly programmed game, using a perfect controller, still has to be operated by a user. In my many years working in IT, the number one problem with computers is between the keyboard and chair; and with video games, the number one issue is what is holding the controller, not the controller itself. It's a piece of hardware...it's not smart enough to make a mistake.

No, the Wii cannot do the resolutions that 360/PS3 can. But, really, who cares. I too think HD is overrated in video games. The HD in a video game is still not even close to what you will see in real life, or even a movie. We are still very far away from producing graphics that look life-like. The processing power is still vastly incapable of producing life-like images. Yes, with each generation we get closer, but in all reality, we're not even remotely close to life-like.

Just remember back with each passing generation and thinking how 'real' everything looked; only to see the latest generation and then think how much better it is than the last generation. I remember when PS2 came out and thinking how great it looked. Now, we talk about how bad it is.

The Wii graphics are quite adequate. Personally, I'd rather have the innovation of the Wii Remote than improved graphics. Yes, Nintendo could have done both, but with an increase in price of the machine. All MS/Sony did was throw money at their next gen, without thinking about improving the interaction of playing video games.

And for a developer to say they can't port a game to a Wii, well, that's their loss. Looking at the current sales figures, why would you want to develop a game for a machine that has sold 2 million units; and refuse to develop one that has sold 6 million. That really doesn't make good business sense.
