@Deathfish69165 first of all I never mentioned ME.
Secondly, it was a rethorical question. you cannot compare the two... period. For one thing in an MMO you cannot really appreciate the story as much as in an RPG. You repeat the same things again and again, most of the time you are in a party where they don't care about the story and they rush through the damn thing and you have to keep up, spoiling the story for you. On the other hand an MMO is also a social game!
No they cannot be compared, it's like comparing an orange with a bottle of orange juice. They are both orange... but you just can't compare!
@Lovaboy nope and I don't think I will very soon... too much like many other games out there... Borderlands on the other hand is fresh, funny and unique!!! VGAs show that I think.
@geitenvla @Fowsed Great thoughts all... but that's the problem. Are all parents that careful with explaining their kids between fantasy and reality? Do all children have the same intelligence and grasp of reality? Are they all able to identify the difference between real and fantasy?
Same goes for movies btw! The ratings are there for a reason. It's the same argument of smoking. A smoker living a long life does not mean smoking is not bad.
I believe you need to have a level of maturity before playing some games alone and take them for what they are. There are other games more suited to kids. And violence is not the only issue here. What about sex and smoking and drugs. And then there are also games that portray the bad guy as the hero and "praise" the wrong deeds, like GTA for instance. being the hero in a game is one thing but being the bad guy is another... especially for a kid.
And Soccer (I think you were referring to American football) is a spot, just like boxing, and martial arts.
