The Darkness.
just picked it up a few hours ago, hooked it up to my 1080p teleivision and........
here's what i think so far.
The graphics have their rough edges as well as their great ones. The textures are, minus the glass, fantastic and the chracter models are well detailed, though a bit jagged. The darkness (the character) looks great and the lighting is also quite good. The environments look absolutely fantastic and the gore looks great too. The only issue with the graphics is that there is some slowdown but it isn't terrible. So if you don;t mind a bit of slowdown and some cut corners (no pun intended) you'll be happy.
The gameplay is pretty solid but it isn't perfect. The gunplay is satisfying but it can get frustrating because aiming is always precise. Using the darkness is easy and intuitive, you can climb up and down walls and devour hearts. I haven't gotten far enough to unlock all of their abilities so i can't be thourough about how they are used. Overall, the gameplay is solid but don't expect anything mindblowing.
Not to talk this game down because it is a great game, it just could have been developed a tad more. Overall, i really like the darkness and I'm looking forward to completing it.
