Mark Walton - the only person ever to think angry Kratos was a cool character...

Seriously? TBQH, Kratos is the one thing that nearly killed the GoW games for me. It gets so tiring listening to him scream everything in an angry voice. It got cheesy way too fast (maybe even before it began).

Glad to hear they finally gave ol' K a bit of personality. Really looking forward to this one!

As for the comments about tacked on multi... who cares? Don't play it, it's optional. Doubt it pulled anyhting away from the game proper. Kinda like Tomb Raider. The MP is only there as a distraction, sure. But why not have it there?

Haha, fanboy. Nah, 'fraid not. Like I said, the 360 version still ain't no looker.

Beyond this video, I've played both... and my comments stand. The PS3 version is fugly.

People have (seemingly) collectively lost their freakin' minds...

How can anyone honestly say the PS3 version is sharper than the 360? Every texture on the PS3 version is gimped. Watch the closeup of the hands at 1:35 - 1:49. Night and day. The PS3 version is just plain ugly.

Then again, compared to the PC version... the 360 looks like an embarassment.

As for the washed out look, this is odd, because it must be the first instance where the gamma is brighter on a 360 port. Easily fixed in the TV settings. But then, these comparison vids always piss me off, because they should each be optimized (in terms of brightness and contrast at the very least) to show a true comparison between consoles on a level playing field.

Another person who thinks acting old is growing up. Trust me, you'll know when you've grown up. It's when you grow a pair and can form an opinion by yourself (without being offended in the process).

Waiiiiiittttt.... you're NOT offended by this? That offends me! You should be offended by my offense! And so on and so forth until the earth collapses on itself.

You, sir, make an excellent point. Because the fact is, there is NOTHING IN THIS WORLD THAT IS OFFENSIVE TO "MEN" OR "WOMEN"! It's not possible. Users like Ailith somewhere below (the poor thing) would have everyone believe that men and women share collective thoughts, and that everyone should live on a Cube like The Borg, unable to think for oneself and instead relying on a sentient thought process shared en masse.

It's crazy. And this type of mindless media doesn't get people thinking, it further divides the groups.

Sometimes a blind eye is a great thing. I really wish I thought of that before posting once about this article. But since I'm here already, I'ma play this one out for a while. It's getting interesting.

Does it taste as bad as I think it does? Because I can only imagine regurgitating the amount of garbage that must have been force fed to you over the years...

Your arguments would have all of us men living in caves, grunting and picking lice off of each other.

Pathetic backwards thinking scares me. Thanks for further solidifying my fear for the future of the human race.

@tengen23 @edjos

Not meaning to step in here, but I'm confused by your statements, tengen23. You want the industry to grow up, but it sounds like you want it to do that by closing doors, not opening them.

I agree with JustPlainLucas here, the industry HAS grown up. It now allows for people with all tastes to enjoy games they would like to play.

Why do you think you are going to change people, in your words, for the better? By closing their eyes to the truths in this world? By putting anything the least bit offensive behind lock and key? The world is full of craziness, be it in video games or not. Censoring one type of media would mean it is necessary to censor all types. So if we do away with the depictions of violence in games, we have to do the same with News, movies, TV, everything. History would have to be pretty much abolished, because it's fraught with violence.

You're not using rational persuasion, as much as you would like to believe you are. You're forcing your view on others.

I like violent video games and movies. I also happen to like puppies and kittens. So your message will never change me for the "better", or at all. It just sounds like another person trying to shackle my freedoms, while putting what they deem as "right" on a pedestal. I can only be changed for the better in someone else's eyes, in which case the change isn't for me, so it's not really for the better now is it?

Poor taste doesn't mean anything. I think that anyone who devotes time each weekend to go to church is in "bad taste", but that is my opinion and usually doesn't leave my mouth. Because you can go if you want, I'm not stopping you. And I will never in my life lobby against bible sales (now THERE's a book filled with fictional violence), read it if you want. Doesn't affect me at all.

Freedom is a beautiful thing.

Live life as you see fit. That's what matters.

@Leistalhamr @Falzonn

It's fashioned directly after the Venus di Milo, same pose, same arm stumps, just with missing head. It wasn't a mistake, it was definitely planned.

Actually, now after looking at the Venus and then looking at this, I have a better appreciation for this statue. It's funny, and exactly in the way it was meant to be.

And oddly enough, I now get the twisted artistic sensibility they were going for. Thanks for helping me see that! LOL!

@SweetPandaLove

You got it, it's a bunch of morons who can't separate the sex/violence thing. I mentioned it elsewhere in these posts, but this statue has nothing to do with sexual violence. Sex and violence, sure, but not together. If anyone is reading that far into it, they may want to start over from page 1. They missed something. Something VERY important.

Yet that's why this statue is taking flak. Sad and pathetic.
