I would recommend the Torchlight series, specifically Torchlight II.

I would recommend the Torchlight series, although I would recommend you get Torchlight II for your first taste of the series.

It's an ARPG full of quests, bosses, monsters, loot and filthy riches. You'll definitely get a good kick from this if you enjoy Diablo-like games, and especially if you use the multiplayer system to play with your friends on Torchlight II.

Well, it got me past some rough patches in my life, and it helped my brain to not get stressed too much. It's a gateway to temporarily escape reality and helped me get back in the groove a little bit better.

It also got me into writing. I was always fascinated by the writing in video game blogs (reviews, interviews, etc.) and thought how they were very in-depth with the quality of writing and passion (I read a lot of niche sites, so not a lot of mainstream blogs), my passion for writing didn't spark until a few months back though, after that I created a video game blog.

It isn't as fancy as mainstream blogs, but hey, if I can write about the things I'm passionate about, it's fine by me.

Because video games are my way of having fun, socialize and temporarily escape from reality.

It helped me in many ways over the courses of my life. Whether it was because I had no one to talk to, left feeling disappointed, sad because of past events, or just plain bored, video games were there when I needed something to soothe my mind.

I've grown attached to many video games and the communities it made over the years, but as I grew older, the enjoyment isn't as great anymore. I've taken interest in different hobbies as of lately, one of them is writing. I still enjoy video games, that's why I made a blog about video games, it's like hitting two birds with one stone.

But good things come to an end at some point, and video games will probably become numb to me after a few years. But for now, I'll try to enjoy video games at every chance I get to play it.

I generally agree with what you've said on how buying games are the consumer's responsibility. If they didn't like the game, then they probably didn't do their research.

But sometimes it's not the consumer's fault they didn't like the game, sometimes the consumers are promised something in the game that wasn't delivered. Sounds similar to something called No Man's Sky.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

Well it's not really dynastic, but you can imagine you're born from a family of royalty/hunters/peasents in Mount and Blade: Warband

@james47: Pretty much. I could only find three variants of the gas mask on the wiki. So most of them are respirators, 80-20 ratio like you've said.

I'm currently on a binge of older games right now, so here are two that I'd like to be finished this month.

  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - I've been testing mods for over a week, it's time to actually play the damn game.
  • Psychonauts - I still have a few ways to go, but hot damn this game is such a blast.

Cheers.

I think it shows how remasters can become great feats instead of the "Improved graphics" version of the game.

Instead of "Woah, epic 4K graphics that'll blow your eyes away!" they can say "Hey there, the remastered versions comes with improved mechanics from the last game to make your experience better, oh and we also polished the game to be more beautiful and runs at 60 FPS for all your glorious eyes to see, and LOOK IT HAS FURRR-"

The industry should be making remasters like these more often. It adds more depth, and it doesn't change the overall game too much but made it better by improving on old, inconvenient mechanics. Instead of just making a remaster to create a hype train on an otherwise same game with better graphics.

Cheers.

I don't play survival games that often, but I have a few suggestions on my head.

  • Ylands
  • Hurtworld
  • Don't Starve
  • Factorio
  • Terraria
  • Starbound
  • Sea of Thieves

Cheers.
