Hi,

I am looking for a game where I can build my own base and also have to find a way to survive, without zombies or something like that.

Something like the long dark vs 7d2d.

Most of these game make the endgame to easy or the begin game to hard. (to many strong players)

The game does not have to be co-op or on a server. But the enemy has to be smart enough to be a treat through the whole game.

if you havent played 7DTD I highly suggest you do. I put it off for a year because I was really not into zombies or for that matter a lot of combat, but this game is friggin amazing.

but with that Subnautica comes to mind.

you dont 'need' a base to protect yourself from attacks in Subnautica (technically speaking) but you do need it to build more and hold more to get deeper

and its a great game

If you wish for smart enemies you can try The Forest, Sir You're Being Hunted and We Happy Few

Thank you. I have played subnautica.

I did not like The forest very much, but will try the other 2, they look very wierd and I can't find the basebuilding part yet, but maybe in a later part of the game?

The other 2 don't have base building but the enemy AI is pretty smart.

They Are Billions might be a good bet. It's a strategy game--not an action and/or adventure game--but it has great base building, and the game just keeps getting more and more difficult as time goes on. It's really brutal.

the guy said he didn't want a game with zombies. That game is nothing but zombies you are defending against.

haha you're right, somehow missed that part.

Space Engineers is a requirement for any game collection.

Given the OPs experience I assume he already knows about it but if not...buy it now!

I don't play survival games that often, but I have a few suggestions on my head.

  • Ylands
  • Hurtworld
  • Don't Starve
  • Factorio
  • Terraria
  • Starbound
  • Sea of Thieves

Cheers.

I would highly recommend Rust on steam. Its just got out of early access like a few days ago so the price is up a bit but apart from that.. deffo try it out!

Obviously we have other smaller titles like: Conan exiles, starbound (2D), etc..

A lot of people are recommending 7D2D.. I personally hate this game because I don't find it challenging at all but that is just my opinion.

Hope I helped :D

For the love of God, don't play Rust...
