Best game I ever played, and I am a gamer through and through. I come back to this game more than any other. Multiplayer was pretty fun back in the day too, if you had some like-minded friends looking to role play.
You do realize, those spots where you get jammed up due to narrow spaces, you can simply have everyone back up, then draw your enemy into those same spaces, where you can face them a couple at a time, with full use of your mages etc.
Ok I run CoD4 @1600x1200, all options at their max except: water is low, no AA and default amount of bodies. EVERYTHING else is max. My system is an x850xt, a64 3400, 2gigs of mushkin hp, and a kn1 lite mobo. I put this system together over a year ago for under 400 dollars. The game runs like a champ, no noticeable lag whatsoever. WTF? Why is gamespot telling me I need a better system to play? Hell I play crysis @1280x960 all options high except textures and shaders at medium. Is my system magical? I don't think so..... Oh, I guess the mushkin should be noted that it was given as an exchange thru newegg to replace some defective crucial ballistix, but still. I payed 97.99 before tax for this x850xt btw. LOL
Wow gamespot. I have been a dedicated reader for the past eight years and I really must say that whoever is running the show for you is ruining your credibility. Downhill for years now in my opinion. I thought it would never come down to this. From hardcore to hardly. It seems intelligent open minded people are no longer your target demographic. Get it together or be sellouts. Guess I can always watch G4. They still make me laugh. You make me want to cry.
