Levels don't mean anything in GW2 because of the scaling. The only thing it does mean is what dungeon you're allowed to go into. It's a good and bad thing. You either like it the old way or the new way. Although, the game seems to put more emphasis and accomplishment when you discover a waypoint than raising a level lol.

I sort of agree but I don't remember what background I picked for my toons right after I created them. I was accepting rewards to boost dignity on my Mesmer and 2 weeks later realized I chose charm for my personal story. To this day, I still don't know what it's for.. and I don't care anymore.
