Yeah, I've been doing more searching. That would definately seem to be the case. Ah well... I guess we just gotta wait till the Japanese developers throw us some bones to chew on. :P For now we have to live with the weak selection. :(

hehe, the reason I say "legit" etc, is because when I tried googling for sites to buy games for download, all that came up were a bunch of suspicious looking evil web sites which actually are just full of pirating tools and torrents and all that junk. I'm not interested in that of course. But as you said, most likely everyone will be waiting a long time to see a FFVII game on the PSP. It really makes no sense to me that it hasn't been done yet actually. Sometimes I wonder about the PSP game developers, and the strange relationships they have with other platforms. These multiplatform developers must have some strange contracts or agreements with all the companies with the 3 big platform companies...

Anyway, I know the Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX games (etc.) aren't available yet for purchase in the store or for legal download. But, I'm still hoping that the Playstation Store will either expand their selection dramatically, or that there is another web site out there that sells games. :P

I'm currently living in Tokyo, and I have to say... when I go to big electronics stores like Yodobashi Camera or Bic Camera, it's pretty depressing to look around and see the huge selection of games they have there and compare that to what we have in Canada and the US. :( Quite frankly, our selection of Anime/Manga titles is pathetic.... I really hope the developers plan to release lots of those games in North America in the future with English translation, but chances are pretty slim I think. I could purchase a bunch of Japanese games, but learning to read Kanji, Katakana and Hiragana and speak and listen to Japanese takes lots of time and effort to learn. hehe :P I guess I should get studying....

Anyway, what I'm getting to is I've been looking around on web sites etc, trying to find a place where I can buy games. What I'd love to get are some of the old games from Playstation One, like Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX, and FF Tactics, Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story, etc... (all games which I already own on CD....), so that I can play them on the PSP. I'm aware of all the piracy methods of doing that and all the illegal download sites etc, but that is of course, not what I'm talking about.

I don't want to do any of that. I'm looking for a nice legit legal web site where I can buy games online and download them to my memory card. I've been to the Playstation Store and seen their tiny selection of games..... Whatever I could get from that site, I've already gotten... But that site has demos and games avaialable for purchase with a credit card, and you can DL them straight to your memory card and play. I love that... But they need a much larger selection cause right now, there's not much to look at, and they are mostly games made by Sony's own developers most of which aren't that good. Only a few notable titles...

So does anyone know of a good site where I could buy legit games for download to my PSP like the Playstation Store that has a decent selection? I'm very interested in getting Squaresoft / Square Enix games. Strangely, I couldn't find anything like this on the Square Enix web site... maybe they aren't interested in selling games that way. But of course, they have none of their old games available yet either for the PSP. Is that in the future works? Given their track record of re-releasing games... they probably are planning to release UMD's of all their old Playstation One games. But of course, they will probably charge rediculous prices for those... ugh...

Anyway, if anyone knows a good site, please post a link for everyone. I've looked through these forums a bit, and haven't found a topic about this yet. I apologize if this is a repeat request. Any information would be greately appreciated. Thank you.
