I use XP myself and like it. I guess you get use to windows over the years.. or well ever since you got your first computer and it had windows on it. Well anyways. Macs new multi touch technology will be a breakthrough on how we use PCs so I don't give vista very long. Also the next gaming generating will be even closer to the performance of a PCs so everything's going to end up being once device that does it all. As long as they keep the Swiss bottle opener I'm good.

So... regardless I'm going to lose system performance no matter what configuration I have? That's not reassuring. I plan on building a new PC anyways but someone running XP will still be faster at the cost of a few lighting effects. Id be turning most of the Aero effects off anyways. I do in XP just for performance gains. Yeah I look like Win98 but my games are more enjoyable and that's what matters. RAM better get cheaper if I'm force to buy it because of Vista.

I tested the Demo with a 3.2GHz P4 HT 2GB Geil Ram and a Geforce 7800 GS OC Card. On high settings at 1280x1024 is ran fairly well. It would studer a little if I changed the camera angle to show more land scape. Over all it did well for a aging AGP System. I didn't get a frame rate count. It looked from my experience to be running around 35-45 frames a sec.
