I think they should have tested it with the Sapphire 3850 HD on the low end pc. Thats the best card they make for AGP and what most people have bought if they still have agp. I also think theres a miss conception of what a playable frame rate is. You watch movies and TV at 24-30fps, Do you complain? My Aged System 3.36GHz P4 HT "Hyper Threading" Socket 478 2GB PC3200 Geil Ram Sapphire 3850 HD 512MB "AGP" Fraps - Average 27fps @ 1920x1080p - 33fps @ 1280x720p 42" LCD TV 60hz 2x Anti Aliasing - Textures Auto "Normal Quality" - Shadows, Smoke, Specular Map Depth of Field All On

The PC will always be on top but only if the game was optimize as much as they do in the consoles. Some are not written that well. Consoles are only one hardware configuration give or take. PC's you have hundreds. You realize it takes a few years for them to even get down just one console. When it comes to hardware PC's are already twice or more powerful than PS3 or X360. Although people are running their PC games sometimes at higher than HD Resolutions. The consoles barely have to worry about 1080p and most are run at 720p and even some games like the PS3 version of GTA4 even a little lower. If I ran all my PC games only at 720p - 1280x720 I would get awesome fps but my monitors native resolution is 1680x1050. This means its going to look blown up and not as crisp. When you have a 720p only TV you don't have that problem unless the game its set at 480p like Wii games. If you want an extreme example of what I'm talking about. Hook up your old N64 to your 1080p TV :) I'm not some PC fan boy, these are just the facts.

PlayStation 4 will be out before SSD really become practical. As least comparing it to 300GB to 1T Hard drives.

It took me up until just a few weeks ago to pick the system I wanted to buy. I ended up getting a PS3. For the same $399.99, I get a blu ray player. Networking is easier, "I don't need media center" and I already had a 80GB 2.5 sata drive to upgrade the 40GB I bought. Both systems are very capable. In the end, what ever systems sells more with-in there own life span would be the customers choice.

[Rickiej] The graphical improvements will only be visible over a year or so, when DX10 is improved and when developers know how to get the most out of it. Eventually DX10 together with Vista will outrun the old and clumpsy WinXP and DX9 ] The point is not whether is "Will" be better. The point is, as of now it isn't that much better. I don't go and buy a car to only be told it has a problem but I shouldn't worry because it will eventually be fixed.

When there's that little of a difference between XP High and Vista High that makes me mad. Microsoft needs to stop the bs and know when to quite with vista. It shouldn't be are problem they dumped so much money on their crappy operation system for no reason. We shouldn't be pretty much forced to pay for there mistake. Alls there doing is leaving room for other OS's to get better and show them up. Then again apple is just as bad. See what too much money does to you?

What ever system has the better games and has them first. That's the system I'll upgrade too. I used to be a Nintendo fan but they haven't grown up like I have. Then Grand Turismo got me into the PlayStation systems. Now I'm happy with my PS2. If Crisis came out for the PS3 I'll prob buy it. Then again by that time I could just spend the 500 hundo on a new graphic card and id be set. These system wars are just a bunch of drama. The more the drama the longer I go with-out up grading.

The game looks good no matter which one it is. I honestly don't think they upgraded to higher resolution textures or anything.. Its no different besides maybe some ambient lighting if anything. Looking forward to playing it regardless.
