Did you know that once you have a college degree, your high school diploma becomes useless? Meaning you can drop out of high school but go to a community college, get an associate's Degree, and transfer to a university to get a bachaler's Degree without ever getting a high school diploma.

I learned this when I had talked to a counsler at my community college and it made realize I should just go ahead and just take c lasses that will go for my associate's Degree even though I don't have a high school diploma. Ain't that interesting?

Yeah, I don't get it. What kind of person is lazy enough to drop out of high school and but then somehow turns around and goes "hmmm...I think I'll go get a Bachelor's Degree"

"Community college is like a disco with books; 'Here's ten dollars; let me get my learn on!' "

well, a buzz kill is what you need if you're asking whether or not it's ok to mock the dead and dying

Wikipedia for the win:

Though fish is the flesh of an animal, it is often not considered to be meat for the purposes of food taboos.

Various Christian fasts involve abstaining from meat. In Catholicism before Vatican II, meat was forbidden during Lent and on Fridays, but fish was permitted. In Eastern Orthodoxy, fish is permitted on some fast days when meat is forbidden, but stricter fast days exclude fish as well, though permitting invertebrate animals such as shrimp and oysters, which are considered "fish without blood".

Muslimhalaal practice and Jewishkosher practice treat fish differently from other forms of animal flesh.

Some Buddhists and Hindus (Brahmins of West Bengal state in India) abjure meat, but not fish. Many vegetarians in Western countries, including all vegans, regard fish as a form of "meat," and do not consume it. Pesco-vegetarians will eat fish, often with the justification that fish have less sophisticated nervous systems than land-dwelling creatures.

Ive always wondered, if I make fun of someone because they have aids, am I doing something wrong?

mig_killer2

i don't know which is more offensive, actually making fun of an aids patient, or the ridiculousness of this topic

religious throw backs. catholics don't eat meat on fridays, but they're allowed to eat fish. somewhere it says something in the bible about creatures from the sea. another great example of oddly outdated biblical teachings dicating what we think now

In all seriousness of curiosity, why get something that looks like an assault rifle (and maybe i'm just naive or ignorant, but does AR not stand for assault rifle)? Why not just get something more like a traditional bolt action hunting rifle?
