I just updated my ps3 slim 120GB around a week ago, and ever since my wifi/controllers are screwing up. 

The controllers will not pair with the device anymore. I have to turn on the system using the power button, and when I do, every other time the ip address cannot be found on the console, and the controllers won't repair. I reset the device, and on the second power up, the wifi ip is found, and if I plug the controller into the front using the USB cable, it will successfully pair and I can use it while the machine is on without it being plugged into the front. 

Next time I try and power up the device, the same thing happens all over again. 

I have never had these issues before - anyone else having connectivity issues? Is my console just foobar?

Any comments or advice would be appreciated. 

All I wanted was Skyrim cross platform play for VITA. Pretty sure this would get anyone who was thinking of buying one to get one. I was expecting Sony's whole show to be devoted to VITA to save it. Right now, I can't fathom buying one until they really drop in price. No new games except ACIII look interesting to me really.

Hey Everyone

Just finished my first year of university and looking forward to actually having some time to game. I missed out on a bunch of good titles earlier in the year, and in fact at the beginning of the PS3's life as I have only had my console for a year.

I currently own: NFS Shift, Star Wars: Force Unleashed 1, Final Fantasy XIII, COD MW2, Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction, Little Big Planet, and AC2. I would have to say my favorite game by far is AC2. Did not enjoy force unleashed at all, and only got ~10 hours into FFXIII and never touched it again.

I was thinking of: Uncharted (more interested in 2, but I hear its better to start with the first), Mass Effect 2, Demon Souls, Soul Calibur IV, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood or the Prince of Persia collection. I have no idea which game to pick, as they all have amazing reviews. I loved AC2, but I think I might want a game with a different feel to it, as AC Brotherhood is very similar to AC2. What would you recommend? I am looking for an engrossing single player experience, multiplayer is a bonus. Weapon collection/skill customization/RPG elements would also be great. I am cautious about Mass Effect 2 because I haven't played the first game.

I am wondering which of these games would be better for me. Both are very highly acclaimed RPG's, but the difficulty of demon's souls is slightly off putting to me. Is dragon age's gameplay similar to that of demon souls with more managable difficulty? Thanks

[EDIT] Someone mentioned that making this a poll would be more useful, and I agree, so I added one. The consensus from the thread seems to be pretty split. At this point, I am leaning more towards demon souls, as I watched a few gameplay videos for dragon age and it looks very tedious. I don't have the PC to run the superior version of it either, hence its unavailability in the poll
