For myself as long as i can enjoy the game at a decent framerate it doesnt matter but if you really want to optimise your game to squeeze every bit of framerate then try this tweak guide: http://www.tweakguides.com/Oblivion_1.html

Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul is probably the most famous one (http://jorgeoscuro.googlepages.com/)

It changes nearly every part of Oblivion and can make the game alot harder.

if i bought the expansio and install it wil i have to remake a charcter and start a new game or is in the same game using the same characters.

also does it make a completely new icon on the screen or i it in the game?

Knights of the nine adds the quest into the extisting world, starts in Anvil and takes you all over. As for Shivering Isles that will be linked by a gate/portal from cyrodill to a new map. So you can just jump through and back whenever u want.

Thank you all. If I use Teamspeak then I will have to have my friends using it or can it link itself somehow to the BF@ server or the Call of Duty server I am on?carma42
You will have to run TS server program on your Pc and your friends will need to install ts client, give them your ip and port and they will be able to connect. Note that if your behind a router this may take some setting up. An easier option is skype or as rex suggested Xfire.

Guild Wars is pretty good and all you have to pay for is £20/30 for the game then no monthly sub needed, its not really a fully fledged mmorpg but still good value considering. If you want totally free then try PlaneShift Crystal Blue also i there's a good list on the Tweak Guides forum of online games: http://forums.tweakguides.com/showthread.php?t=2927

Some games like BF2/BF2142 have built in VOIP which allows you to talk directly in-game. For other online games the most popular are teamspeak or ventrillo, you have to have a server running then people can all connect to it. Skype is easier and its p2p but cant really conference that many people.

I was thinking of starting a thread on the same topic :)

There doesn't seem to be too many co-op PC games out there. Some games like Far Cry & Half Life 2 have mods that let you play the storyline in co-op. Im downloading one now, will let you know if it works.

Theres also a game called Left 4 Dead (based on the HL2 engine) which supports up to four players in story mode. Its supposed to be due out early 2007.

Going to do a bit more digging but i am surprised that so few PC games have co-op.
