I actually agree with the review scores (would give it a 8.5) but for the exact oposite reasons. I love the world and how alive it feels and I love to just take a car and go explore.
But the missions? meh. Most of them are just "drive over here and shoot some people" and the shooting itself is terrible. Aiming feels off and the level design of shooting segments is VERY basic (most of the times it's 2 or 3 hallways where people come running at you). Most of the other stuff you do that is not shooting or driving suffers from a bad case of being the kind of boring, scripted "press A not do die" type of segment. Soon you realize you are hardly doing anything. "Infiltrating" is hardly more than walking to the dot on the map, "diving to find the goods" is basically pressing the analog stick in one direction. It lacks more challenge and true character interaction
I hope people calling LOL a "DOTA for people with no skills"
Have at least a diamond account and took part in the world championship. I mean, it's such and easy game that it should take the skilled dota overlords only a few week to dominate in LOL
@obito07 Actually it is free to play. It's one of the few F2P out there that gives you no in game advantage if you pay. You can get stuff like new champions faster but that won't make you a better player or give you an advantage over other users because you only use 1 champion for each match.
The only thing that is behind a real money paywall are character skins... which give you no ingame advantage (you only look different, nothing more)
No, you can't. LOL (along with DOTA) is actually one of the few F2P games that are well done. Everything relevant to the game can be purchased with in game currency and does not take that long. You can unlock champions faster but that won't make you a better or give an advantage over other people.
The only thing that can only be purchased with real money are skins.... which are nothing more than an alternate look for your character
