@Katra I completely agree, the speed of that game is uncomparable to anything they make nowadays. I've never played a shooter that has been as fun as UT2004, and UT3 was a pretty big disappointment in comparison. I don't play UT2004 nearly as much simply because there aren't enough people that play it anymore, but if the servers were still as busy as they were back in the day I would be playing that over Halo, COD, or any other popular shooting franchise

My question is what happens with the death sequence? If one person dies do you both start over from the last checkpoint or will there be a chance to revive the other player?

@jackiexoo413 Take your spam for repetively stale gameplay elsewhere. There's enough advertising already without you posting this crap

@Vince21C Oh really? Then let's see you get it right smart guy. The larger financial resources you have to devote to a project the better and Google has quite the supply. Most of the big innovations in this world will be coming from them. The cars that will be driving themselves in the next 10 years will all be from a Google service and its only a matter of time before an advanced version of the Google glasses replaces smart phones.

@aniforprez I honestly don't know where to begin considering your statement couldn't be more flawed. The whole reason gaming has become so popular is because of the connection it brings and the escape it gives to others. Look at WOW, Everquest, and other MMO's and just how large of a fanbase it brings in not to mention how some people literally allow it to consume their lives. It gives them an alternate reality to live in but behind a computer screen and some people would much rather live that. The more realistic you can make a game the more real an escape is, which will in turn attract a lot of people. You don't seem to comprehend how this is still in early development is only a fraction of what will be done this technology. I guarantee you this is is the direction games with move in within the next few decades.

And to think that you would be limited in movement is absolutely absurd. The military has had there hands on technology such as this for years for selective combat training with the addition of walking tracks that rotate 360 degrees so any move you make is one made in the virtual reality. (Not to mention they also have sensors to simulate impact and other things)

Further you are saying what draws people to the game is the sense of control. You think a mouse or controller gives a feeling of control? Imagine the sense of control if every movement you make could be repeated perfectly or eventually even just a thought (yes this technology is in development as well) would be all that was necessary.

If you believe technology like this would be overwhelming clearly you have never had a lucid dream in which you realize you are dreaming and can then completely control the events and environment of the experience.

And any development costs can easily decrease with time. Some of the first computer's were the size of a mini van and cost upwards of 10k. You're laptop has exponentially more processing power and is astronomically cheaper.

Overall this is just a demo of what they are working on and to give you a glimpse of what the future of gaming can hold. Keep an open mind to what possibilities it can bring rather than be so quick to disregard change in gaming.

isn't the whole point of survival being on your own? thats what made the first and second game so **** scary. i just hope this doesn't make the single player suffer because this is one of the few game series i've stuck to in this current console gen.

Nice to see a game that actually will release map packs for free. Actually might pick this one up now. Had warhawk but didn't buy into the DLC map packs so I lost interest. This is definitely a good way to keep players interested and people more likely to buy the game
