No that's something I didn't expect, it's... hard to believe really, I think I'll have to check out more reviews, some gameplay, etc. in order to decide, if the game it's great at least like black flag was then... it's something. I want to believe.
@coalbeat: and there is a reason why we should eliminate the score system really, people just stop reading the reviews and look at the "good and bad" and the score and then "why x game got a x when it's way better than this, or this game got a x but its way inferior to x" let me give you a example, so you got a A on algebra while another human being around the globe got a A on biology, so in your conception those two know the same things?, well let me give you an answer no bud, those two games are different, completely different so if GTA appeals to certain people and this game appeals to another certain people with different tastes or maybe common we should start giving every other game in existence a lower score than 9 because GTA got a 9? it's that what you want? You should compare equals like compare GTA to watch dogs or sleeping dogs GTA has it's own league I can't compare GTA V to MGS V TPP because even if they share the "sandbox" work they are totally differnt, but I can compare GTA to sleeping dogs or watch dogs, this game needs to be compared to life is strange, game of thrones telltale, a wolf among us, etc. the games that follow the "genre" that telltale it's cementing.
well the game it's great no doubt I liked it a lot, if you have played bayonetta before you know what to expect from platium, either way give it a try if not now when it's on sale or something it's really worth it, the combat it's great, the gameplay it's solid and it even has a complex crafting end equip system, it's short but at least I can hope if platinum does something new with this Ip i can expect a lot more and with this quality thumbs up if they decide to do another transformers game.
@Stebsis: truth indeed a game isn't "a great game" just because the gameplay it's rock solid, once you have completed every mission in S rank wich isn't difficult really, once you have beaten every side ops wich... are all the same really, there isn't anything to do I remember when I was playing MGS1, 2, 3 I could finish the game doing everything you could and I still wanted to play it again, and again, and again, but in MGS V TPP it's like "well I'm finished, that's it don't want to do every mission again" the lack of real characters it's what hurted the game the more, I mean in MGS Peace walker wich had a lazy history same as MGS V at least there were good characters because most were new, here you have old faces wich you know how they are going to react but even at that point every character feels just empty, specially the protagonist and I know about the twist but that is not a reason, I think quiet was the only character that I could really attach to and she was just a bait for teenagers and didn't "talk" through the entire game, well at least the game it's fun to play but that's it I know I will forget every character in some years and what they do but I know I will still remember the sorrow, the pain, the end, the boss, almost every other metal gear character besides the ones that are appearing here.
And does a rating affect the sales really? remember when mortal kombat was out kids played it like it was nothing? and that was way back in time, like it would care in nowdays, well maybe in australia because... well reasons.
they did the things right, they adjusted to the new generation without losing their true roots, let's take somene who did it wrong, capcom they don't know how to adjust to the actual generation without losing their roots, thumbs up to xcom developers they know what they do
Well at least the concept it's fresh, hopefully the gameplay changes since well you will be fighting with wood spears and bows, not to say stones no metal at all hopefully they create a way to keep things fresh let's see how this game turns out I'm just glad they did this kind of conpect I think it fits well to the "farcry" universe.
@Jimbody: No, dinosaurs were wiped out a while back, this it's probably after glacial period or just before it started to happen, but if this comes from ubisoft I can really expect everything, maybe a crazy thing and they just add dinosaurs because reasons, who knows.
One of the best animations in facial terms comes from rockstar game, L.A Noire they put so much work on it that it makes them almost real, you could tell with some focus that one character was lying trying to read their facial movements and that was some years ago, with the tech right now they could do amazing things, and the ones that i saw on the video from naughty dog seems pretty good, they really are into something, facial expression in characters help get atached to them and for so believe more in the character they are trying to build, maybe next uncharted will be set up a new standard into story driven adventure/action games, lets hope so.
