@The_Al Have you played the game far enough to see that you go back to the same exact areas every single Act? No new scenery, just the same places over and over again. That is my biggest problem with the game, and it's not whining if that bothers you, it was cheap of them to keep sending us to the same places every single Act. Have you put time and effort into building up a character only to have them whine and leave your party? It's a subpar game, and it amazes me that it has 9/10 reviews out there as repetitive as it is. Makes me think they wrote reviews without playing the entire story.

I also agree that the characters didn't do what what my tactics told them to do. At one point I had Anders and Bethany in my group for healing, since I got dropped a couple of times. Originally the tactics told both of them to heal if anyone dropped under 25% health, and I would watch a character die with no heal from either of them. I know heals have a refresh rate (which is wrong) but seriously, neither of them throw a heal at 10%?

I loved Origins, but I hate DA2 with a passion. WAAAAY too much dialogue, which is causing me to skip most of it out of anger. These people just keep talking, and talking, and talking. Can't they tell a story without 9000 dialogue cut scenes? I don't like the story even 1/3 as much as Origins, and the gameplay is too repetitive. You keep going back to the same areas over, and over, and over again with different areas of the zone open as the game progresses. Seems a cheap way to create more content, by using the same zones over instead of making new ones. I also agree with another poster that the characters are bland. I found myself not caring about any of them, and being extremely upset when they would randomly leave my party like spoiled brats after I got used to using them for so long. Add to this all of the timesink and missable achievements, and this game gets a fail from me. I actually liked the new combat system more than the old, but I completely hated this game overall. No DA3 for me, thanks. This one was too boring and repetitive to warrant buying another.

@darklord1294 I don't think you can compare newspapers and video games. Newspapers are something you read and throw away, so it's cleaner to read it online and not have the paper to get rid of. Gaming is completely different, it's nice to have the physical copy of a game to either add to your collection when you are finished with it, or to trade in and at least get back some of the price you paid for it. I don't think they'll ever get 100% of the gamers to accept a download only system, just as many of us don't accept movie downloads when you can pay a few bucks more for a blu-ray or DVD copy of it. If the download versions of games were cheaper since they are cutting out packaging and shipping costs more people might accept it, but I'm sure they'll still be charging $60 for the download versions of these games. At least with a physical copy of the game you have something to show for your money, whereas a digital copy will either be deleted when you are done or backed up on a drive somewhere.

I also don't like the idea of games being completely downloads. I like having a physical copy of the game, and refuse to buy downloads of games other than 3 Xbox Live arcade titles that I bought. The day they stop selling physical copies of the game I will stop buying games. I like having the physical game to add into my collection.

I'm honestly getting tired of DLC. Some people say they like it because it extends the life of the game, but I say give me the COMPLETE game up front so I can play it and put it away. I'm tired of dusting off the controller every month or two and having to relearn the controls and gameplay for the game again. DLC sucks, most of it has been garbage and overpriced at that. Fallout 3 cost me $60 plus another $50 for DLC, so $110 (or was it $120? total?) for a "complete" game. But hey they emailed me a code for a Fallout theme for my Xbox so it was worth it! Dragon Age: Origins keeps releasing small DLC packs, and not one of them has been any good but I bought them all to keep my complete gamerscore for it.. None of them add to the original game, they're all separate stories where you can't continue with you main character and companions. Thankfully they should hit the 1750 gamerscore cap with the next DLC and be done with it. But seriously, if this is the future of gaming count me out. I'm tired of being nickle-and-dimed to death with DLC, it may be time to find a new hobby that costs a bit less. Guess I'll have to start waiting for the Game-of-the-Year editions for everything, so they'll throw the DLC on a new disc with the game and it'll save a load of cash and I can also play the whole frikkin story front to back instead of having to add a new DLC pack each month..
