iam currently saving up to get a better tv. i just cant make up my mind if the tv should be LCD or plasma. since i have a ps3 i always watch blu-ray movies, and play games in 1080p. i know that if i do get a tv, it should have 120/hz. what are your thoughts?

ACx7

Go LCD, not Plasma. Plasma has True Black, but doesn't last as long. When going LCD, go for SOny Bravia Series TVs. They're considerably more expensive, but the picture quality is the best you'll find out there.

Samsung LED LCD TVs top anything I have ever seen out of the Sony Bravia line.

Modern Plasma TVs will last nearly as long as an LCD. You can get a Plasma that rivals the quality of an LED LCD for literally 1/3rd the price. They are typically larger, will last a long time with no problems(assuming you buy a quality brand and you take care of it.), and can usually be found on sale. Plasmas also have much better refresh rates. Which allow for higher quality images during action sequences.

Personally I have an LCD. But would not mind a plasma. LCDs are just worry free. Plasmas require a bit more TLC in order to last.

What kind of TLC are we talking about here? What does a plasma require that an LCD doesn't in the way of maintenance.

Well. Starship Troopers on PC. It must be at least 5 or 6 years old now, but I quite enjoyed it back when I got it.

I'm fairly certain they level up along with the characters in your party. And I used Morrigan, Shale, and Alistair I think.

They could've gone for a stealthy approach surely? At least that would show more variety than what was quite similar to the first video. Still looks great, and I'm still excited about this game, I just think that video was a bit of a wasted opportunity.

Uncharted, Assassins Creed, aaand...even though it is only two games, Batman: Arkham ____. Honorable mentions go to: Valkyria Chronicles (might be higher up if 2 and 3 were on PS3), inFamous, LBP, Portal, and hopefully Mirror's Edge (eventually).

Really? You want all of the CoD crowd in your BF3? No, thanks. I'll admit, I am a convert. But there are people who just play BF as they would CoD, Rambo-style. And shout obscenities and sing really loudly.

edit: I guess you didn't really say that you wanted that to happen. But according to a kid I used to babysit (who once enjoyed all manner of game and noe only likes CoD) Battlefield is bad because you have to perform a role (medic, recon etc) and stick to it or else you lose, it's too slow, and there are no killstreaks or perks. So, if BF changed those things, then sure maybe the CoD people would switch. But then it wouldn't really be Battlefield.

Chrono sequel. Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross were two of the best RPGs on their respective consoles, and I'm sure there was a third game in the works that got canned.

I'll third (or fourth?) KoTOR. The MMO does look good, but I don't really like MMOs. Much prefer a proper KoTOR 3...on PS3.

Someone above said Crash Bandicoot. To be honest, if Naughty Dog made a Crash game, I could be interested. Maybe a PSN game? It went so downhill after the PS1 and it would be good to see a return to form for Crash.

A new Tenchu game would be great too.

And although it isn't quite in the same leagues as the rest, I want some news on Mirror's Edge 2.

Also, fairly sure a lot of people want a Jet Set/Grind Radio sequel.

Challenging gameplay≠good gameplay.

Vari3ty

It can be. Look at Demon's Souls.

I wouldn't call Demon's Souls' gameplay good at all, but that is just my opinion. What I meant was you don't make gameplay good simply by adding difficulty. And gameplay can be very good even if it isn't difficult or challenging.

If you mean shoot the gun yourself like in an FPS, then no. It will stick to: aim, press fire button, watch character fire based on their stats. If it's not for you, then it's not for you. Personally I love it. I downloaded the demo for it when it came out and though wt is this, this is rubbish. But then after all the praise it got, I bought it cheap and after a level or two of the game it just grew on me. In the end, it is a Tactical RPG/Strategy RPG. And it does a good job at being that type of game. A lot of people just don't like those genres.
