I am glad they are going to make their product what they want it to be. Art, in all of its forms is from the artist. It's not a vote, it's not ever meant to please every person.
@sakaixx: As an owner of Ps4 and Switch, I am ALL about this. I love "Warriors" games because they are fun, and mindless.. But I already beat P5 on my PS4, so; win-win for me lmao
People need to calm down. Cloud is in the upcoming 3DS game Final Fantasy Explorers. It hits in January, and it comes out this month in Japan. Nintendo also was the ramp that launched the Final Fantasy franchise.
It really is not that far fetched, and I am happy to have another new fighter, and I am glad they aren't avoiding RPG characters.
@ruthaford_jive: but at that point it's a "Have the cake, or eat it" situation. As gamers, we endorse things we like and rage on things we don't (speaking on a larger scale). That being said, I play FFXIV:HeavensWard. If paid DLC planned content is bad by nature, then shouldn't WoW and FFXIV be considered bad as well?
Despite the addition of content they both wish to milk us of every penny they can get, yet the core game itself is able to be considered a full product. It's a much deeper issue that many people only care to see when it has an effect on them.
I get being irritated, but I always see people reacting as if this were a new issue, when really, all gaming does is cater to trends. Nintendo makes portable games because they know they sell, Microsoft always puts out Halo and Gears, and Sony tries to get the fighters and JRPGs.
In short, the only way to have this stop, is to get the majority to withhold from buying them, and sadly I feel that won't happen, because they incentivize us.
Remember when games used to be like, 30 bucks? Good times. But I am not complaining. As technology moves along, so does the amount of work you have to put in to a game, but games have not increased in price.
I know that they would like to increase the price, but then you lose customers. So this is the middle ground.
Stop being outraged just to be outraged. There are far worse things going on in the world, optional content is nowhere near the top.
Regardless of what this game's "Score" was I was going to buy and play it anyway. Stop bitching about other people having opinions and go make one yourself.
As a Star Wars fan, I have to agree that they nailed what most games miss. Sure there are a ton of great star wars games out there, but none that made audio and atmosphere an important note.
I mean, on walker assault, when you are playing as rebels, even when you are keeping pressure on the empire, if they are well coordinated, you feel helpless, like you should when two AT-ATs are staring you down.
DICE did surprisingly well from what I have seen, and I hope the final product is up to expectations.
