I can agree with the article. However, I cannot forgive Bioware for creating such a superb trilogy, through and through, and then tacking on such a crappy, Fable II 'ish ending. What a sorry, lazy and uninspired conclusion to a marvelous series. Mass Effect deserved better. This is right up there with the ABC TV series Lost.

Having read the novels that flesh-out more of the gears of war characters backstory and world, I feel the trailers do capture the overall sentiment of the series. I believe most people race through the single-player campaign of a shooter and then spend the rest of their time screaming at people in multiplayer. Gears creators produced a game that has a rich campaign and a great story that transcends the actual game itself. The trailers reflect this.

I cannot think of a better example of story and game-play married into one beautiful entity than the games Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2. Valve did a great job incorporating everything to push you along through a thrilling a story with an immersive environment and characters that were fleshed-out and that you actually cared what happened to them. You were running for a reason. You were fighting for a reason. You cared about what happened next. Half-Life 2 left me begging for more. Speaking of which, VALVE where is our Half-Life 2 episode 3!?
