@SecularSage Well said, couldn't agree more. We need to get ride of the scale to 10 scores. Cause on every site it has a different meaning, and seeing how flawed the system is with some games always scoring around the 9 even though they don't bring anything new and become stale. Where other games bring many new things, being creative and play good enough but have a flaw here and there score much less. And seeing how today's gamers look at games the 0 - 10 doesn't work anymore cause even a game that scores a 7.5 is seen as a failed game. To many high scores have been given the last few years and with that they broke the meaning of a score.

It is why i like ZeitGeist so much on youtube. He only gives scores by saying he finds the game good, okay or not so good. And explains why he thinks that way. Even if you don't agree with what he thought you know its just his opinion and that both CoD as a unknow title are great in his eyes.

@timthegem It makes perfect sense. Tom thinks he is a great and awesome reviewer by saying the opposite from what others say. He thinks he is a badd@ss reviewer who is really hard on games but fair....that's what he thinks, i just say he is hard on games but far from fair.

"you can just call him the jerk who hates all the things you love and loves all the things you hate" is the quote GS has about him. So see it makes perfect sense. Everyone knows Superman can't be killed by missiles, but Tom thinks Supeman should be killed by it. He will also call Super Mario unrealistic, cause a plumber can't shoot fireballs from out of his nose.

Funny thing now that i mention realism. Tom was the one complaining about not much realism in shooters these days (i partly agree), yet now that a game is REALISTIC about Superman he finds it a negative point MAKE UP YOUR MIND TOM! Or rather....stop trying to hard to be a badd@ss reviewer and just be a fair reviewer who shows he knows stuff about games and isn't gonna make minor things as a big problem when they are not. And especially LEARN TO PLAY!!! as reviewer we the readers should assume you are a great gamer, but more than once we seen in reviews that he didn't get it where no other gamer or any other reviewer had that problem he has the problem and makes it all the games fault.

@NateJG24 He is extremely picky, Transformers War for Cybertron, scored a very low score and his biggest complainments where that you ran out of ammo quickly (but i guess he didn't found out by himself that there AMMO CRATES ALL AROUND THE DAMN PLACE!!!!) and that the world....now take your time for this...that a robot world..yeah still following me? He complained that Cybertron was to much iron...yup....a robot planet, crowded by robots...shocking no? He found that a bad part...every freaking journalist int he world, every damn gamer in the world said that for a planet made out of iron only they really managed to bring in some variation so it never got dull, but nope not Tom McShame, he found it a huge minor part.

CoD and Halo both games that score amazingly high scores on GS. Games that both never ever changed their formula. MWF 1 - 3 all three the exact same game when you take a close look you notice that a lot is redone with just another setting around it. Halo, only a handfull of enemies whitch you all encounter in the first level already and drags on for four games. Anyway GS gives them a high scores. Zelda Skyward sword gets a lower score cause Tom finds the game repeating itself over and over again, all Zelda's games being the same. Yup suddenly the formula that hardly changes is a bad thing.

I really don't understand how GS can keep hiring him. I don't wish anyone to lose their jobs, but when you are louzy you are louzy. He claims he is hard to games. And yeah we need more harder reviewers cause lets face it, today's game journalist is a bigger fanboy of certain titles than the regular gamer and make sure that other games get lesser scores for the same faults their favorite game makes where its no problem. But Tom is only hard, he isn't fair. You can't be hard without being fair. And yeah its a personal oppinion offcourse, but really Tom's scores are so much off from what others say, even what some really respected game reviewers say who don't work for a big game site.

@xXl_z3r0_lXx And bring back splitscreen even on the pc damnit. Need for speed was always a blast with a friend on the pc. Both on the keyboard. It really is anoying they move everything to the internet. When i have a friend over we want to play a game together. He isn't gonna bring his pc with him, nor his xbox or ps3.

@NightFox313 I totaly agree. Iam a pc gamer first and graphics hardly do it for me (guess that's what you get when you are generations ahead but hardly get to see the power you machine can handle).

Sure i like beautiful graphics but i get more excited about a indie game with poor graphics that does something really special or has a great immersion than i get excited for a new Crysis game. Crysis and CoD looked nice but they got rather boring quickly for me seeing i only played them for the singleplayer (2012 omg you still want singleplayer game? O.o...yes..yes i do!).

Great example is Minecraft, the graphics suuuuuuuuck..but that is the biggest charm of the game.

The new game engine of square enix is okay looking i suppose. But as long as its just a CGI animation (i know they claim it was a game, but did anyone get to control a character and walk around in their level? No, good till than i say its a CGI animation) i don't believe a damn thing about it. First let them make a real game with the engine that still looks like that, than we shall talk again. And FF13 looked amazing too but it came with a huge cost...small level design (mostly narrow corridors) that isn't as demanding as a big map to freely explore. And the gameplay wasn't really interesting. I enjoyed the movies but the game was nothing more than press x, press x, press some more x (when playing on the ps3).

@sepir Problem is that most PC games are made for the console first. The consoles can't run games as well as the pc (for all the fanboys, this is not bashing this is just a fact, the PC is generations ahead of the current consoles). So they restrict certain things, once ported to the pc they don't optimize it for the pc so it causes conflicts.

And often its just a easy port to the pc without coding it properly so we pc gamers with a high end pc still get frame drops and other things that shouldn't happen cause you can run other much better looking and more heavy for your pc games like a charm.

Devs need to make a separated pc version, and some do like battlefield and hitman, but often the pc version is just a xbox port with a few extra options like setting your resolution and AA and such. When they have a separated version you often notice the difference compared to a port.

@fullxtent Limited air was also in the first Metro. Its really tense when you wear it and you start to run out of air, desperately looking for another mask. Also in Metro 2033 your gasmask could get damaged when attacked, and than you where in a big problem if the mask would break completely.
