What i hate most today is the new graphics cards, the 660, the 670 etc
they are too damn hot, why cant they make cards that perform this well and dont heat up so much. At least intel figured it out for their cpus, they are phenominal.
I myself owning a i7 3700k it certainly does its job keeping cool
still i really dont want to buy a new card just to play bf4, these new cards are disgusting
you sound like you would rather stick up for the manufacturers
they are the ones laughing to the bank and yes i can afford a new card but i dont like the current stage, these days its hte 660 its the 670, its whatever and you know what?
they produce far too much heat, peaking at 70C and sometimes further
thats too much, they should do better, no more than 60
you know your talking to a guy whos spent over a 1500 on a build and i know efficiency when i see it. These new age cards are not. The CPU's are
your kidding me right, now i need a new graphics card i mean cmon really
I know for a fact some devs at least give players the option to tone down the direct x so the graphical settings for textures and alike are a step down or too, thus increasing lifespan of their graphics cards. And besides this age its all backwards, the cpus are the efficient machines, at least for intel with superb power and low TDP, as for graphics cards its more like extreme heat and too much power consumption ie TDP. Why does it take more power to feed current graphics cards and less power to feed intels latest most powerful CPU's.
I mean cmon its year 2013, there should be more ingenuity, things should become more efficient and less hot. At least cpu companies got that right, as for the graphics card industry, well they should wake up.
Anyway point being, Any popular game is forcing players of all kinds to dig deeper into their pockets just TO be able to play a game on a decent spec and thats not right. Give people the option to tone things down such as direct X, being able to run in lower direct X will vastly improve gameplay for alot of players, especially those who can afford a videogame and CANT afford a new graphics card.
Theres always money to be gained if you can increase your sales so there you go.
@Atragon look you know, this game is very arcady and thats why it appeals more to younger generations, more mature players and alike prefere battlefield, has a greater sense of realism, cod is very run down now, small maps, even with very little graphical improvement its still a straight shoot em up and alot of kids like that, yes kids and some adults. I remember when i used to play cod with black ops and mw3 and all that you could tell alot older folks would get into this because it was very new to them.
Anyway safe to say its easy to ridicule those who play it and critic the shit out of the game. I think its also because the game could be alot more compelling if they showd alot more innovation gameplay wise, not gamemode or how the menus change and how the strategy changes in terms of how perks are affected. I mean to add more immersive tools in the game. As far as im concerned it heavily relies on younger generations and people will continue to populate so their will always be a market for a straight shoot em up kinda game which cod has succeeded to set stone in.
The only advantage to adding more immersive quality to the game you ask? once again to garner more appeal to alot of older folks and gamers who have pretty much exhausted their taste for a straight shoot em up. Especially myself i played it alot and most of my friends have grown out of it
This article should say and with some satirical enthusiam,
" How Call of Duty Ghosts new multiplayer still sucks balls and mostly younger stupified generations will buy it along with some older folks new to gaming from a few years back"
he said its a peg away from pc so thats very good for console platform indeed.
I hope bf4 does have some dynamic change or shift in game to the map like some kind of damage to terrain, creating massive craters, not sure how that would work out but it would be sick. Imagine doing some serious explosive damage near objectives and making large craters and changing the land as you fight,
