Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Stays The Course, Still Fun - Gamescom 2013
Mark and Danny run through their hands-on impressions of Battlefield 4's multiplayer on Playstation 4.
Just pre-ordered mine after debating which ps4 release title to opt for. Haven't played Battlefield yet, but no longer could stomach playing COD since MW2. Heard great reports on the multiplayer. Looks terrific on the ps4!
Some of you are retards and need to learn to listen to what ppl are saying. He said the visuals look fantastic and the visuals are tad bit off from pc but that was expected but it still looks amazing, so Idk why people bash the ps4 or x one graphics for that matter. They are going to be games that are fun as hell to play so get over the pc looks better bull
LMAO ppl dissin the graphics lmao..wtf u cant get anymore realistic retards..having 64players with max fps stable is badass for console.. blows pc out of the water... ps4 ftw
if this is already out then count me in as the first one buying it, well maybe i won't be the first one but i definitely be buying it.
I'll just leave this here and see who bites.
I've liked BF for a while. I play SP but I can see why people like the MP for this game. I loved BF2, BF3 SP.
I'll buy BF4 for SP eventually because I know it will have 5 hr token SP so like BF3 I'll buy it when on sale for $5.
Great game though. But I still yearn for slower methodical shooters like Rainbow Six and SWAT and Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell (which I'll buy now)
.. ....What if the PS4 supports a mouse and keyboard. How has this not been considered? There are "behind closed doors" games goin' down on PS4.
In response to the two GS employees who did the commentary on this video, the levolution in this video is the storm. It starts calm w/no storm and then the storm gets worse and worse. Levolution is not just about buildings collapsing, lmao! It's about how 'the level evolves' within each of the BF4 maps. ;-)
I'm glad they prioritised 1080p/60fps over extra eye candy. Resolution and framerate are the two most important things in a multiplayer shooter IMO. The PS4 is no gaming PC but it's close enough and for the price I think it's worth it. Paying for online is still BS though.
Obviously it wont look as good as the PC, the Xbox One is apparently around 1.2Tflops (probably more now they up'd the speed) and the PS4 is apparently around 1.8, though we'll have to see if either of those numbers are true. The 780 in a PC has 4 tflops, these consoles are already outdated. That AMD cpu that was meant for low powered laptops and is clocked at like 1.6ghrz is just no match for Intel's I7 family.
Now all the consoles have PC like hardware and they'll all be developing on PC first and porting over, we'll see the PC looking better still. There will still be consoles games where you get 30fps and jaggies everywhere as we do now, where as the PC just has the extra horse power to do those things on top.
. . .
What. . what have you done.
@Skith1 nah just like he said noobs and trolls would never run and just camp behind walls like gears and socom and those games are ruined cause of that shit
@Skith1 yeah,third person...like in gears of war would look cool in battleield
@Skith1 It does look cool though.
@Skith1 Why, so everyone will just corner camp like socom?
@Wolfewood I remember reading somewhere that the PS4 would support mouse and keyboard through USB.
@Wolfewood I think the PS3 supports mouse and keyboard for games like Counter Strike Global Offensive.
@phppapa There's also a huge ship that comes ashore; you can see it on Youtube.
@BushMonster420 Also a 30 pack of PBR and a redhead please. Maybe some Panama Red.
@BushMonster420 no fooool
@ravengamer55 ....he blatantly said he was playing on a PS4 dude
@locknuts84 having 64 players > 1080p/60fps on a console really
i have the PC version of BF3 and ive played the 360 version and while the PC version looks a hell of a lot better the 360 version is very playable as is it just loses that magic not even being able to get 32 people a server let alone 64
@razor_rj it's one less syllable to say "ten eighty" than "thousand eighty".
@razor_rj One of them is Irish the other is English. They sound absolutely nothing like Americans. And ten eighty p is how it is commonly pronounced.
@razor_rj If it's that infuriating, then you must have some deep seated issues. Also, these guys are not American.
@razor_rj It seems you are easily infuriated.
@razor_rj they arent american
@Tixylixx I love it when PC gamers use blanket statements like "it won't look as good as the PC version"... Here's a question: WHOSE PC!?! I guarantee there are millions of PCs that will be running this game in november FAR below the standard set by the new consoles. There will also be a lot of people running super-computers, spec'd out for gaming, that will look nicer than the new consoles, but trying to make objective statements about how a game is going to look on "PC" is actually impossible. Consoles on the other hand, come down to how nice your TV is; and if you've got a nice 1080p set, there won't be a lot of quality disparity between televisions running the game on the same console.
@Tixylixx You know its strange that PCs are so much more powerful one yet there are few and between games better than on consoles... Like RYSE on Xbone, show me something similar of similar quality on PC... Witcher? Thats not the same. There will always be market for PC and PC games as well as consoles and console games. But today owning either is fine since most of the games come out on all the major consoles and PCs. Its always good though to have a console handy for games like GTA5 since you can't get it on PC. Or wait a year until its out...
@Tixylixx but you obviously know that gtx 780 costs around 650$... well unless you want the consoles to cost around 1000$ your comparison doesn't really make any sense, and in that case people won't buy a 1000$ console ! because its only a console and doesn't have all the other things the PC can do.
@grey_fox1984 @Tixylixx I'm never for the whole jumping on of the gaming platform bandwagon but it doesn't take a lot of money at all to create a gaming PC capable of better quality, visuals, speed and experience than a console.
So PC gamers will look at things in a completely different way due to the fact that, as PC gamers, it's quite disappointing sometimes when we ourselves know that these consoles could be made so much more powerful, but they opt for lesser materials/technology which in the end results in lower quality.
The fact that the current gen being "1080p", when it actual fact it's upscaled 720p, is a prime example. PC gaming will always lead when it comes to visuals obviously but console gamers definitely deserve better than what companies sell to them.
@reanor2 @Tixylixx Chivalry:Medieval Warfare requires 100x more skills and is 100x more immersive than Ryse will ever be with the awesome first-person combat and class voice commands.
@mghabboun The 760 isn't that much less powerful than the 780 and you can get them for $250 a piece.
I've played both. Both are fine. I don't know why you absolutely have to have more players. You really don't notice it in the thick of a firefight.
I've never stopped and went "crap, why is there only 24; I clealry need 64!"
I've never been like "I'm so glad there's 64 players. . I can't imagine anything less than that".
Don't get me wrong; more players can be more fun but they can also be a pain. That's. . 30 or so players I'll probably never actually talk to. At least a fourth I'll never even run into. That's forty more people I'll have to wait on unless I stick to the popular servers which will probably be 24/7 something or "pistols and knives and snipers only, no shotguns".
I could go on. It isn't the biggest feature. . it's just a nice option to have.
