The video is about being bribed to give games good scores. It has nothing to do with the topic your talking about.. like.. at all.

I think you missed out on one very big thing that even comes close to dark souls. The anime "Berserk".

The creators of Dark souls said that the show influenced a lot on the game and if you watched it you can clearly see the similarities. A lot better relation than the shows that was pointed out in the video....
