@GamerOuTLaWz Nah come on, RE4 IS a masterpiece, it's one of the best games ever made. True it where the action elements became more overt but the action started creeping in with Resident Evil 2 (there's much, much more ammunition in RE2 than RE1, you can kill everything in the game and still have enough ammo to kill them again left over and it only got worse in Nemesis where you can make your own damn ammo). RE4 was the last game where there was any balance at all, RE5 is where the series truly left it's roots behind where shooting enemies became the only real element of the game, at least in 4 you still had to be careful about how much ammo you used.

I never understand comments like this. Resident Evil 2 isn't going to suddenly disappear if they do remake it, the old game will still exist. A remake (presumably done in the style of the GCN Resident Evil, which is what I infer from this statement) would introduce one of the classics of the PSX/N64 era to a whole new generation of players, players who have never played anything like it which would hopefully show Capcom just how beloved the older style of Resident Evil is instead of the Westernized action style Capcom seems to think every single person in the world prefers.
