@DraconisRex @TechSin

Well there you go, so what is the point of buying an unenhanced "enhanced" baldur's gate when you can indeed play it on the new windows?

@TechSin I haven't tried the game on win7 but I played it on XP. I've also played some old school dos games as well via xp programs that allowed you to run dos games. Point being that if there is a will, there is a way... to play old games on a new OS.I didn't bother playing the "enhanced" version because its not enhanced. The company did what most companies do. They put profit above quality. Some CEO figured the math out, and they thought they could make more money with some crap tweaks on an old amazing game.I am disappointed because this is the best RPG ever made and they could have done so much with it... When I heard they were remaking this I got all warm and fuzzy inside. Instead they changed a few things, added some more bugs and slapped on the "enhanced" name to make a few bucks. :(

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Just because it is the same game doesn't mean it gets the same score. If it is the same game, why should anyone waste their time and money playing it? If they redo a game and call it enhanced and don't enhance shit, then it deserves a bad score.

Here is all the evidence you need. My parents let me watch rated R movies when I was just 4-5 years old. Sex, violence, all the good stuff. When Nintendo came out, it wasn't all that violent so I guess that doesn't matter. Still, around the age of 9 or 10, genesis came out and you could see blood and fatalities in mortal kombat, I was allowed to play it. My parents never held back real world stuff. Here is the kicker... They spent time with me and told me right from wrong. They taught me that it was just entertainment and I should never treat others like they do in movies and games.

Is it any surprise that I have grown up to be an extremely peaceful individual then? The only chance that games will cause people to do dumb things are if the children are neglected by their parents. And, guess what? Neglected kids almost always grow up with issues, so games are not the culprit. Parents are.

Dragon Age didn't come close to Baldur's gate as far as creativity goes. It was a good game, but if they completely remade the BG series with todays potential, and did it well, it would be the best RPG ever made. Hell, BG is stil the best, it's just outdated.

Zelda 2 was the first game in the series that I played and it is still my favorite.

Blizzard is losing their prestige. I remember a company 10-15 years ago that released amazing games. Quality was their goal, and they achieved it many times. Now their priority is money. RMAH on top of forcing me to buy 3 copies of the game so I can play it with my family has shown Blizzard's true colors.
