I'm curious too. I would like the additional missions in the special edition but I don't like all the buffs and stat boosts. I don't like these boost bonuses to make a game easier.

I wish they would stop including boost stats etc for preordering, instead stick to cosmetic items or extra missions.

Did that with Spiderman which included bonus skill points, now I have an abundance of unrequired skill points near the end of the game. It made the game easier.

@digitm64: why do all that for a measly achievement? It's nothing but a virtual indicator of what you've done but what matters is whether ur having fun doing it. I thinks it's crazy to start over just for that.

Good point. Play on PC through Steam so the achievement system there is pretty lacklustre. Doesn't even make a ding sound when you get one :(
Have a backlog of about 45 games, but Witcher 3 and Fallout4 are taking up a lot of my game time. :)
Kind of good in that I save money, was looking at getting the new Tomb Raider but then thought why since I will just play a bit then go back to Witcher3.
Will now just wait for other games to fall in price on a sale. Witcher 3 was such a worthwhile purchase at full price, I could almost call it an investment in my collection.

Unfortunately a lot of the points are dreams.

  • No more micro transactions OR atleast to be implemented in a right way like how Rainbow Six Siege handled it ... best case scenario would be getting rid of it, i'll remain skeptical about ppl not supporting it tho.

**Never Happen, making too much money from it all**

  • More polished and optimized games. No more broken games like Fallout 4, Batman AK, etc

**Never Happen, publishers will continue pushing devs for deadlines**

  • Not having to pay 60 for a multiplayer game ! i'd pay 60 for the said game provided that they support it down the line with free stuff, not like Star Wars Battlefront ! My ideal price point for such games is 30-40$. It's fair

**Never Happen, these price points have become the average price**

  • More indie games, i like the way our industry supports them, it's where the cool ideas come from

**Some idie games have been surprisingly good, but way too many lacklustre ones**

  • Supporting Kickstarter better than ever

**Agree**

  • Reviewers be more open and frank about mentioning the technical problems, not giving a free pass to anyone.

**Agree, reviews should have a segment on the technical side of a game**

Around 50% mark and still going. Although it has made me have quite a backlog on other games now. Thinking of restarting on the toughest difficulty though since it has become too easy on normal. I know I can change difficulty midgame but then you don't get the achievement.

It's going to be at least another 20 years before we see the Star Trek Holoroom experience

Probably closer to 300-400 years.

Well that sux. I was kind of hoping I would experience it in my life. Oh well, at least the retirement home I will be at will have decent virtual reality setups 60+ years from now.

Found Fallout4 on PC at $59 at JB HIFI, much cheaper than Steam or GMG digital. However I didn't like the fact that all I did was use the key to activate in Steam then threw the box, CD, and manuals in the bin. Another thing for landfill, which Steam is to blame for their high prices.

Steam is getting more expensive and sales are not as good as they used to be. Conspiracy Theory: Maybe Sony and MS are harassing them?

Also bought a game on Amazon, but when trying to activate on Steam it said this region is not supported. I'm sorry but Amazon should state that US keys won't work in certain countries.

Also how come Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone didn't get a review? Because Gamespot didn't get paid.

It did, it got a 9/10.

I apologise. I searched Hearts of Stone review in the search bar and couldn't find it.

It's sad that not one of them qualifies for me. I cannot think of any shooter that wins this year. It's all mostly RPG's for this year such as Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 which have knocked the ball out of the park.

It's a ripoff in Australia. They are asking $30 for a DLC. Sorry but a proper Witcher 3 expansion was less.
